So...pony graffitis...straight from Argentina!

As an Argentinian, I just HAD to do this, due to how good it is, and as a plus, there are almost none pony graffitis out there.

Lookie here:

Twilight+Sparkle+and+Rainbow+Dash+2+-+My

That graffiti was done by an Argentinian who goes by the name Shinoda, and lives in the city of Trelew, Chubut, Argentina, and whose workart you can find in his Deviantart.  http://shinodage.deviantart.com/

If you want a few more pics from his artwork so far, here:

Derpy+Hooves+1+-+My+Little+Pony+Graffiti

Pinkie+Pie+2+-+My+Little+Pony+Graffiti+b

And just one more so I don't go even MORE overdone that I already did, I think. ^_^

So, what do y'all think of his graffitis?

I saw these on EQD! This guy is freakishly talented, I'd love to see some pony graffiti around where I live. Thanks for sharing the pics Arcanel.

I know right!? It's a bit sad because my country isn't that known in the brony fandom, although just a FEW Argentinians have managed to do quite some important stuff. But seeing this and at least get a mention in the art part is definitely nice. :) And you're welcome! But honestly, this HAD to be done. I wasn't going to let it pass.

I just saw these yesterday on deviantART and it blew me away how good these graffitis are...actually they look more like painted verctors (you know it doesn't look like spray at all)

super good...I wish you have made them :(

I know what you mean. But, luckily enough for us, he did make a step by step image that shows slightly how he made the graffitis. Here.

And honey, if I had made these, I would put them up a LONG time ago. And I would taught you as far as I could how to make them Sparky. :3

wow these step by steps looked great, I still find it very hard to do though, I still find it hard that it is air spray, it looks so crisp like made with paint, but oh well my sugar cone, <3

Saw this on EqD, too. Indeed, this takes an immense amount of skill...and courage! I'd love to see pony graffiti around here. Hopefully Shinoda will inspire others. Thanks for sharing. :)

Yeah, that's where I took it from. I know that technically, the Pony Bulletin would get the post, but since not many read that anyway, better safe than sorry. And yes, I admire Shinoda, and I hope he can inspire others. :) And you're welcome! But like I told others, I wasn't going to let this pass. ^_^

I think what makes me believe it's spary is the texture. It doesn't look dark enough to be paint, IMO. But yes, non the matter sugarcube. :3

I don't think it's spray, either. Shinoda has another angle of Derpy posted and if I look close enough I swear I can see brush strokes.

This is so much better then all the graffiti you see in America.. Seriously the people in America just write names and stupid stuff, but I've seen so much graffiti from other countrys where its truly artwork, and this is no exception.

Tl;dr I wish our graffiti looked like this.

I think that was most of people's initial reactions. But the step by step image I posted earlier shows it's quite the real deal.

Er, question, did you look at the step by step pic? Do you think you could tell better if it's brush stroke or spray there? I believe it's spray there, but I don't really know if there are THAT many sizes of spray lines.

That's pretty neat. I can recall there being some graffiti in NYC on a few occasions. Wonder what other people thought, hahaa

Fixed. :P But hey, don't you guys have that one guy that's called Banksy or similar that makes really awesome graffitis? And don't be fooled, we have of those too.

Looking over the tutorial, I can now say without a doubt that its brushing. Look in the bottom right corner of the progress pictures, and you can see paint cans and brushes.

Huh...you're actually right...I didn't even realize that!

Oh wow, this is seriously the most awesome thing I have seen in a while, they look amazingly well done, simply wonderful! Realy brightens up the area!

Yeah. The pony color contrasts so much with the city it's almost hilarious. ^_^ MORE PONIES, MORE LIFE! :D

I bet every gangster in the world wished that they could do that. Something like,"Yo, dawg. We need to represent Compton pony style."

I agree with this entirely.

I have no idea to be honest :P. I don't really keep up with graffiti artists or anything.

Still I've never seen any worthwhile graffiti wise. Maybe i just live in a very non talented grafiti artist place of the U.S.A(Look I fixed it :) )

Ah. Well, good luck finding good graffiti artists close to you! :D And don't worry dude, I was (slightly) joking. :P The main reason is because when you say "In America" in that type of cases...I feel kinda like one of those "YO! AMERICA IS MORE THAN 30 COUNTRIES!" guys.

  • 8 months later...

Sorry to bump this but WOAH

I'm from Trelew, and I didn't knew any of this. How could I...? I need to see this and take pics ^^  I'll be there soon, so I would really like to see this stuff live.

After foggy and funereal days
In a mixture of sadness and devotion,
memory and mental escape
I take back my life
A bit confused, but more conscious of my way.
