Am I the only one who classify's bronies and pegasisters as the same thing?

Everywhere I go, I see someone saying,"Oh no,I'm not a brony I'm a pegasister.Two entirely differant things"or "As a feminist,I refuse to classify myself to such a sexist term,so I'm a brony."

Personally,I classify the both of them to be the same fandom, not two differant things.I always feel like I'm the only one who feels this way.Does anyone,SOMEONE feel this way? :(

Yes I agree they are the same thing with the only difference being gender which the very existence of this fandom proves is irrelevant. The point is we may have differences but we all happen to share one common interest which just so happens to be cartoon ponies so I say lets stop quibbling over details and just enjoy.

It's better tbh, like how you're either a boy or a girl or a cowboy or a cowgirl or a brony or pegasister.

Simple as that.

But they aren't like two SUPER different things, but I think it's right to have gender segregated terms so it's not a male dominant like thing.

It is the same thing people just like particular labels.

It's always seemed strange to me as well but whatevs. Just let people do what they please.

Well, I don't really see the point of the term 'pegasister' it just sounds so... urgh.

I also think that 'brony' is a completely universal term. If you ask someone about the MLP fandom, they aren't going to say "oh the pegasisters?" they are going to say bronies.

I actually agree with this entirely.  The way I see it is that we're all fans of the show, regardless of what our titles may or may not be.  I can be a brony and a pegasister and it shouldn't make me any more or less of a fan than I really am.  I'd gladly accept any title as it won't change my love for the show or it's fandom, if that makes sense. ^^

Of course, that's my opinion!

As a female fan of the show myself, my personal thoughts are, after great consideration and reading of many sides and opinions on this topic:

I DON'T GIVE A SHIT

Seriously, pegasister is useful if I'm specifying my gender. Brony is good if I'm identifying myself just as a fan of the show. And do I care which one you use? Nope.

Being that of the female variety myself, Pegasister just sounds... ugly.

However, I don't mind people calling me that because it still acknowledges that I am part of the non-target audience that watches MLP. And most people refer to me as a Brony because they dont know I'm a girl anyways.

"Bronies" is simply a name for the community, it's not telling "I'm a man who likes to call others -bro- and watches ponies". I call myself a brony, despite the fact I hate guys who are all bro-this and bro-that.

Pegasister sounds kinda... forced? But hey, call yourself Scootafansupermeister for all I care, just don't go "Flagging me as a brony is sexist and you are a chauvinistic pig." on me. Which I've seen only once in my life, so I don't think it's a problem.

I classify a Brony as the Walmart t-shirt buying type that gets a Rainbow Dash 20% cooler or a "Brohoof!" design.

A Pegasister is this type, according to the Brony Documentary. Probably why I don't like the term:

(I want to go into hiding now. And I had just gotten comfortable with being a Brony!)
