Shanks 10,816 December 31, 2012 Share December 31, 2012 (edited) Batman has had some of the greatest villains in all of comics, pretty much everyone even those that aren't into comic or Batman knows at least one of two of them. The Riddler has an obsession with riddles, traps and puzzles often daring Batman to come find him and stop him. The Joker is the clown prince of crime a nice mixture of sadistic psycho and gag villain. Bane is a mix of mercenary and strongman with a fair amount of intelligence to make him even more lethal. Ra's Al Ghul is a master assassin and environmental activist which shall we say takes things a bit far by trying to wipe out half the earths population. Poison Ivy is able to use plants as deadly weapons and shares some of the extreme environmental traits of Ra's Al Ghul but in my opinion is not nearly as dangerous as him. And of course there is Two Face who was once Gotham city's district attorney Harvey Dent and is my favorite Batman villain. Once a loyal ally of Batman and close friend to Bruce Wayne Harvey Dent snapped after an accident or acid being spilled on his face (depending on the version) that left him permanently scarred and gave him a nasty case of split personality disorder. My favorite portrayal of him is in the Two Face two parter in Batman the Animated Series where it shows that even before his disfigurement he was struggling to keep his alternate personality which was born out of years of suppressed anger in check. Blinding Light 81 December 31, 2012 Share December 31, 2012 Has to be Bane. All the other guys are cool and all but it's just that Bane troubled Gotham City so much that the entire city went into lock down. All others are just annoying.
Modphase 1,271 December 31, 2012 Share December 31, 2012 How could you forget to mention the Scarecrow, the most awesome of them all? I mean seriously, an insane ex-psychiatrist villain that can make your greatest fears turn into reality right in front of your very eyes, for his "research" is a villain worth mentioning.
Scootalove 10,689 December 31, 2012 Share December 31, 2012 (edited) I really think Joker is my favorite batman villain because, he targeted Batman and Gotham not only physically but mentally. He really went after what mattered to Batman the most. Edited November 5, 2013 by Scootalove Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Colt 555 December 31, 2012 Share December 31, 2012 It was a cold saturday morning as the Batman animation series was on the screen, I was still a young lad and and the Dark Knight’s adventures was the sole reason to get up early in the morning. “Read my Leaps” appeared on the screen with a wooden life less figure enriching the tittle screen. It was an episode of madness and revelations. Arnold Wesker’s nature tooke me for assault, his double personality and the demise of his own self by its own mind was too much for my young mind to comprehend. I got fascinated for the play of the strong Boss and wimpy “dummy” hiding beyond a second self to bring the most horrible actions to reality. Then it juts all got to its peak, as the Boss was willing to end the life of the “dummy” struggling for his life the last asked for mercy and trying to escape from the betrayal he hided from his other part. I just blew my mind such level of madness was way over what I have seen on the others bat nemesis tu such an extend that his own self-preservation instincts were gone. Scarface left a mark in me that Saturday becoming my favorite Batman enemy and a lesson of how wicked our imagination and creativity can get. Shanks 10,816 December 31, 2012 Author Share December 31, 2012 How could you forget to mention the Scarecrow, the most awesome of them all? I mean seriously, an insane ex-psychiatrist villain that can make your greatest fears turn into reality right in front of your very eyes, for his "research" is a villain worth mentioning. For some reason it would only let me add 7 choices but then I realized that there were other threads which had more so I had to find out what I was doing wrong so I did and added a few more choices including Scarecrow. 1 Rarity Get's Cockroaches
The Pirate Prince 105 December 31, 2012 Share December 31, 2012 The Condiment King! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnaHXjJAHrA Seriously though, Batman has awesome villains, it's hard to chose just one. You should probably start adding more to the list, It's not like it would be much of an effort. Scarecrow, Penguin, Hugo Strange, Clayface, Killer Croc, Mr Freeze, Harley Quinn, The Ventriloquist, Hush. I think Mr Freeze's probably my favorite, he's an intellectual and he's a powerful physical threat. His ice weaponry is powerful and his suit can make him a walking tank. Plus his backstory is really sympathetic. (also having the best boss fight in Arkham City helps) 1 http://www.fimfictio...e Pirate Prince
Brook 663 December 31, 2012 Share December 31, 2012 The Riddler, for sure, I always had a weak spot for smart/clever villains, and he always had the best moments in the Batman franchise in my opinion. Also I have a tie for second place between Clayface, Mr. Freeze and Scarecrow, because Clayface always seemed like the big mushy cutesy bad guy, Mr. Freeze always looked cool to me (get it? =3) and Scarecrow has like, the best attack ever. Ask me anything!
TheSeji 36 December 31, 2012 Share December 31, 2012 I will have to say Scarecrow, I am by no means a HUGE batman fan and i don't know a ton about the thing in a whole, but what i do know is, we need more Scarecrow up in dis mofo......and then maybe some poison ivy. (and is anyone forgetting the penguin?)
TailsIsNotAlone 3,695 December 31, 2012 Share December 31, 2012 (edited) I vote Poison Ivy by a hair. She's cool, smug, and sexy. She had nice powers and a great design in the animated series. Plus she wasn't totally evil or crazy. I like villains who have more humanity to them. Catwoman has all those same qualities except no powers, so that's why she's in second place for me. (The poll has Killer Croc but not Catwoman?! ) Third place goes to the Man-Bat. He was so freaky and scary, I loved him. I had an action figure of him as a kid. Actually I had a ton of Batman action figures...I wonder what happened to all of them. Edited December 31, 2012 by TailsAlone "Human beings fascinate me Being just the way they are..." Emerald Flame 381 January 1, 2013 Share January 1, 2013 The Joker is my favorite villain of all time, so this was a no-brainer for me. Heath Ledger's Joker was amazing, and I also love Mark Hamil's Joker in the Animated Series.
Ianpiersonjdavis 513 November 4, 2013 Share November 4, 2013 As much as I like The Joker... I have to say that Scarecrow is my favorite villain. Being a fan of the horror genre, I've always found him to be the most fascinating Batman villain as his Fear Toxin show interesting insight into the psyche of his victims. It's also interesting to see what others fear and how they react them; some try to fight them and others curl up into a corner before rocking back and forth in the fetal position.
Renon Strike 67 November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 I would say Hush because the guy is so vindictive and a very well thought up personal villain i especially loved his debut and the heart of hush comic series.
Sabrinie 392 November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 I'm not a huge fan of Batman, in fact he's one of my least favorite superheroes, however, for some reason I really really like Poison Ivy. I don't really know what it is about her, but I like her a lot. What fun is there in making sense? Senor Citizen 516 November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=MrSkqg3FLVU Seriously, though, I like Cobblepot the most. He's nasty, domineering, and shrewd, but he's got so much personality, as opposed to "blurgle wurgle money" or "a bloo hoo hoo dead wife" or "a bla ha ha plants" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA OCs: Standoff and Red Alert, the luckless mercs
PonyEcho 1,610 November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 (edited) This is purely based from the comics. (not the games or the movies) The Court of Owls/ The Talons An order of assassins who take children who they deem to have a talent and turn them in to highly trained assassins.... then turn them into super undead assassins that can only be taken down my freezing there body to stop there super human regeneration. sure they are fairly new but they helped make one of the best batman arks (Night of Owls) in recent years and also gave birth to one of my new favorite comic series Talon. Mr. Forest 135 November 6, 2013 Share November 6, 2013 Harley Quinn! How is she not even in the poll? Jason Todd and Catwoman aren't even villians, at least they haven't been for years. They're anti-heroes now.
CT-1138 3,182 November 6, 2013 Share November 6, 2013 (edited) Man-Bat. The internal conflict as Batman's own symbol is turned against him palpable here. Combined with a great character design, I'm frankly astonished Man-Bat has yet to appear on film. GrooveBroove 680 November 6, 2013 Share November 6, 2013 Two Face is my all time favorite. I love just how broken he is especially with his judgements all coming from a coin toss. It really adds to the character personally, especially considering his earlier life was nothing related to crime.
Skeletor Brony 703 November 8, 2013 Share November 8, 2013 Excuse me... But the Penguin should be the only choice. XD He is the best villain ever, man! He was played by Danny DeVito, he is a short fat guy with no fingers, ect. The only other villains I like are:"The Joker (Jack Nicholson), The Riddler (Jim Carrey), and Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones)."
