I agree and i think since the fandom is so high right now that they will milk it until they run outta ideas. Personally if there was going to be a Generation 5(just learned that MLP has generations) I would leave Lauren Faust in charge unlike this generation where hasbro pushed her out sorta. more action and suspense would be nice. leave it the same style only more gritty and stallions as the mane 6 or at least have 2 male protagonists.

If Friendship is Magic should ever come to a so unfortunate end (and I pray it does not), as a successor  I'd like the next generation to keep the same style, animation, and locale, but focus on different, well-rounded characters like FiM. But instead of taking place in a single locale, the show would focus on the group of ponies exploring all of Equestria, and discovering its many wonders and dangers, will developing character along the way, perhaps even with a continuous storyline. Adventures in Equestria, like Lauren Faust's original vision for the show.

 

That would be fun.

My wish is that generation 5 regardless of what it eventually ends up being has the same dedication to quality character driven storytelling with interesting and relatable characters with good non preachy lessons which can apply to both children and adults. G4 as we know it may end eventually but that dosen't mean that it's successor needs to be bad, if anything it could build on that success and create a show that is just as good and possibly even better.

I'd like it if G5 kinda served as the Legend of Korra to FiM. It could maybe take place a good 20 or 30 years after FiM and be about the mane six's children. We could see where the mane 6 end up, maybe Twilight has taken Celesita's place or is the head teacher of Celestia's school [under Celestia herself of course]. Rainbow Dash could finally be a member of the Wonder Bolts, possibly the captain. Rarity would own her own line of clothes etc etc. We could even see what the CMC are up to, I'm assuming they will get cutie marks by the end of the show so I guess Applebloom would run the farm with Applejack or something Sweetiebelle would follow in her sister foot steps and be a fashion designer and Scootaloo would learn how to fly or something. The new mane 6 would probably be Elements of Harmony in place of their parents and do the same general stuff but maybe on a lager scale, like when they fought villains they would be much more powerful or it could be more like Korra and present something new from the usual stuff. Eh I don't know but it's an idea.

Pretty hard to think of anything better then FIM, honestly I just wish that G4 sticks around for a while.

Hopefully since all the older gen's stuck around a really long time G4 will stick around.

 

I'm curious if they'll even do a G5, I mean G4 being so good that by the time they run out of ideas the whole show may end up canceled.

 

Regardless, I don't know if any Gen will have the magic FIM does. I can only hope for the best when/if it comes, and hope that G4 stays for a long while.

Faust has not been running this show for quite a while, she quit pretty early on and has no say in what goes on now. Good thing too because she wanted to cripple Scootaloo Anyway no, I hope G4 is the last generation, it is all we could hope for and all we need.

Even though I'm not a brony, I'm not a hater and I've seen a couple of episodes. If we had to have a generation 5 (this is hard because generation 4 is pretty good) I would probably bring Derpy Hooves back (not in the background but as a proper character). If she spoke it would probably raise more problems so I'd have her not speaking, maybe just living in Ponyville somewhere. But she would still have the original expression. I don't know, what do you guys think?

I would like for G5 to be a continuation of G4 from a while later. Kind of like what Legend of Korra is to The Last Airbender or what DBGT is to DBZ. One thing I'd love to see would be the older CMC with Cutie Marks. They could be the Main Mane characters or they could be friends/relatives of the mane characters.

 

I love the art style and the characters, so those should be kept.

I like G4 right now. I feel that it is great the way it is. I don't want them to change the characters or anything like that. I want G4 to run for a long time. Hopefully long enough so I can work on it in the future as Director. I am pretty sure the show will run for much longer, so I am not going to really think much about it

I don't really fell the need for a new generation. I mean, it's not like Pokémon, where after sometime the novelty ends and there's no more reason to enjoy it until next generation. There are nigh infinity possibilities just the way the show is right now. The closer to a new generation I'd like seeing is maybe a focus on new protagonists, though that's more along the lines of a spin-off. And even though I'd love to see a Friendship Is Magic Spinoff with new characters on Manehatten, I'd never trade what we have now for it.

If they do make a G5, I would like to see some more nations than just Equestria. Maybe explore the zebra culture, or the griffins. I would also like to see some male cast. Spike and Big Mac are great, but both are treated almost as inferiors. It would be a good idea (in my opinion) to have a more gender equal mane cast.

G5 will be a gen running parallel with G4, the only difference is that it will be for adults only. LOL.

 

But seriously, G4 is the best one yet, I don't see a reason for G5 to ever even appear. I don't believe anyone would ever "get enough" of G4 and want something new. Honestly.

I would have her speak but I would change her voice, I really like Derpy's voice in this one fanmade youtube video as part of the Save Derpy movement. It sounds like it fits Derpy perfectly without giving people the impression of a "der I am retarded" voice.

 

 

And I would of course give a bit more character development, to really show that other than her eyes and slight clumsiness and maybe another quirk or to she is not much different than any other pony.

What I really hope for, in bulletpointed form.

 

• Adventure! Because seeing the whole wide world of Equestria will be amazing and with how G4 is probably unlikely for long-term adventure-around-the-world with current cast. They have obligations and a hometown, and stuff like that right now. An adventure is unlikely to be longer than a three-parter at extensive with FiM cast.
• Gender-equalish cast. Just... Moar stallionz, plz.
• A timeframe either with several episodes 1000-ish before and the rest a timeperiod before or immediately (5-10-15-20-25-50-75-100 years) after FiM. Come on, who doesn't want a few what-exactly-happened-before-and-what's-next episodes?
• Bring some of the background and distant secondary ponies up to secondary or primary cast status. Derpy as leader of the team? I'm OK with that.
• Don't get rid of the old characters, make them prominent figures even if they're not still around by then. And if they are alive and well, good, use them!
• Keep it good-quality. We don't want to lose the charm and talent and general there-is-good-stuff of this generation.
• Relatively similar animation style. Just... Don't fix what isn't broke. If it's good, don't change it unless it's minor or fan-confirmed to be OK.
• Keep G4's time-honored tradition of making sense with applicable but not overpreachy morals. Because of how television today has gone downhill, you gotta be clear what you want from people.
• If another part of Hasbro does stuff like commercials, toylines, blah blah, make it at least SOMEWHAT show-accurate, building on what worked with this generation to keep or improve the good and get better at what isn't good. We don't need another pink Hasbrolestia or a weird-hat Applejack now, do we?
• In general, don't make a total wreck of a good reputation pulled up by FiM.

What I want?

A good show, I want quality jokes, amazing plot, and animation. I want it to have to same charm as Gen 4.

With high quality characters, personalities, and backgrounds. 

It could even just be the Gen 4 characters but older facing different life problems still appealing to children. 

That's what I want from Gen 5.
