Offend me. No. I understand that the internet nature is one of total freedom from responsibilities both social and beyond. There is no punishment here because is a totally shared environment where all ideas are equal and the only thing that separates there worth is numbers that stand behind said idea. The net is a sea of shouting voices and when I look it that way I know that there is no right nor is there a wrong here. People don't like having certain ideas shouted at them and this is what generates our haters "your brony stuff is everywhere" (that is of course a claim not an argument and I don't want it as such) but it is a claim I hear a lot.

 

The fact is, you are not getting rid of what you don't like when it comes to the net, there isn't going to suddenly be a massive flood of people clambering towards your ideas to make you the internet moral administration and if you continue to act in such a way then your ignorance and over self indulgence of your charisma and importance as a person would make you deservant of being rankled in such a way. We are not nature nor the universe, we are not apathy waiting to be bent to your will, we are the thousands of the wills clashing to one another trying to find our enlightenment  our inspiration, our stories and our entertainment within the humble mental abodes of other people...most who will never meet in real life. Because we are filled to the brim with a thousand different active goals there will be no one active goal of the internet and if there is it is most likely a single action and not a long term project such as reforming an internet community, ideas and concept or the production of said concept cannot be genocide or forced out. 

 

Deal with it...even though in some rare cases we really shouldn't have to. 

 

 

Also anyone that believes in rape culture doesn't pay attention to the culture around them since we actively socially rebel against rape, to the point that accusations of rape alone can get people to beat the accused to death.

 

That like me saying that whenever I produce a comic where people jokingly have a competitive relationship that normally involves slap stick that I'm promoting people to return to the ideals of dueling to sort out their issues. Jokes do not promote any sort of culture, the whole thesis of a joke is that it is not serious and its there to produce comedy. Unless its a political satire joke I guess. I doubt the artist of molestia been secretly drawing the whole series because he actually believes he making stunning commentary on the benefits of allowing sexual rampancy and madness over take the land. 

 

 

now...I don't get offended but there are a few things that I generally get bored or annoyed at times in the fandom.

 

One would be the those who constantly feel that the internet has to regulate it behavior.

 

the other would be the genericnesss of all the human in equestria stories. Its always:

 

Normal brony dude (typically a self insert)-OMG I killed myself (or teleported) to equesteria- I can't believe me eyes. Oh I love you "insert character here"-saves world-buggers off. 

 

come on guys...your humans...be creative...say something...like humans created ponies...or humans are actually a direct race from discord that was lifted out of the pony realm in his own dimension but he was unable to look after it being turned into stone and hence why it is magicless.

1.) First of all what probably bugs me the most is how crazy people go over some background characters or show details. And with that I don't mean being a peaceful fan, but almost rioting because of Derpy, Twilicorn, etc.

2.) NLR vs. Solar Empire: I've said my opinion on this before, but the idea itself is as terrible and cringeworthy as the "Team Jacob/Edward" stuff that some Twilight fans have going on. The name New Lunar REPUBLIC makes no sense at all. IF PRINCESS LUNA WOULD REIGN THERE IT WOULDN'T BE A EFFIN REPUBLIC. This just seperates the fandom even more and depicts both Celestia and Luna entirely wrong.

3) Most grimdark/gorefics: I watch MLP because it is a beautiful, funny show with lovable characters that teaches good lessions about friendship and I hate seeing the main characters in such horrible situations(also I don't understand people who need violence everywhere). I respect and like grimdark fics like Fallout: Equestria though, because they are intelligent and exciting to read.

4) When people are blinded by fanon and interpret every possible thing wrong.

PS: Molestia is fine for me, because it doesn't take itself that serious. It's sometimes really funny and everypony who takes it serious and beliefs that Celestia has this personality indeed should get a one way ticket to the moon

I'm not really offended by anything in the fandom. Sure, there's some stuff that I'm not into (clopping, incest/pedophilia ships, etc.), but I'm not offended by it.

 

Also, am I the only one who doesn't really mind gorefics? I mean, I'm not too big on the ones that are gore just for the sake of gore, but stuff like Scarlet Harvest is really good, IMO.

None really offend me. I will admit there are some that made me go WTF?! The whole incest and pedophilia side off the fandom made me laugh but keep in mind any fanon idea that promtes the characters sexually is absolutely hilarious. Though, one comes to mind that angered me. It was the story called scootatrap. the idea of Rainbow Dash being an abusive lesbian pedophile was stupid but funny. the fact that she abused scootaloo was dumb since most fanons i have seen always depicted them as loving friends, or student/teacher relationship..

Only thing that really bugs me are prudes who judge rule 34 as an abomnation or something that they can hold against people who like it, or who just don't get that these are just animated or drawn characters and not real. Any actions revolving around them aren't indicative of what a person is in real life. If it ruins your enjoyment of the show steer clear but put up some better mental shields in the meantime as the internet might not be for you. I see rule 34 as one awesome (and often hilarious) perk.

 

Besides that anything thats sadistic, out of character, or gorey displeases me but it's just easy to avoid or move on from.  Dramawhores or people who actively judge other people or things really bug me and there's a lot of that in the opening post of this thread tbh. Why is RDash being gay a bad thing? Having her be a symbol for that isn't a bad thing it's frankly a very cool thing. Princess Molestia isn't funny? Derpygate and Alicorngate too just seemed ridiculous with the amount of attention both got. Complacency too in this fandom too can be a bad thing as people seem to like whatever their handed vs having an opinion or wanting better.  

 

Oh and I also hate that some people in this fandom watch a show like MLP and then still can't tolerate gay, lesbian, and trans genders. I thought we were better then that and that love & toleration is something we had in common. The hypocrisy of a teen guy to love female ponies and then to hate gays is astounding.

I;ve already mentioned in this thread my distaste for gore/grimdark when it comes to child characters, so I'll just add to that I don't really like the idea of blatant rejection of canon.

 

Molestia- Sex jokes are one thing, but whenever someone takes it to the level of rape or molestation, it's just wrong. It's unnecessary, and I seriously doubt that any sane person finds rape/molestation jokes funnier than normal sex jokes. If you do, than you need to see a doctor.

While I wouldn't go that far, I agree with this if it's being played serious, or if pedophilla comes into it, I'm okay with a certain level of it when it's being played for laughs in a tamer matter though, like just having her act like a bit of a pervert, or having her make a joke here and there. Tvtropes actually has a character type called "Chivalrous Pervert", and I don't mind her being treated like that if it's for humor:

Ditzy Do being called Derpy- as some one who was teased for having a lazy eye, it bugs me that people try to defend this, as long as it remains cannon and not cannon I don't rely have a problem with it.  

Her name is actually listed as Derpy on some official stuff, like the Hot Topic toys, and T-Shirts.

There's a lot of things in fanon I find unsavory, but outright OFFENSIVE? I think that list would be pretty short.

 

- Molestia would be at the very very top. Just. Anything related to the topic makes me angry. I hate it when people are told they're "too sensitive!" if they don't think it's funny. I hate that it's such a popular meme. And don't even get me started on the ask blog. It's not like I lay awake at night cursing the gods above for allowing such a thing to exist, I just wish it was easier to avoid because it really does upset me.

 

I adore Celestia; I think I make that incredibly obvious. And I just don't find rape jokes funny. I used to, but the older and more I've learned on the topic, the more I've realized it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I could go on and on here, but I'll leave that particular rant for my tumblr.

 

- When people portray Discord as a rapist. I hate it. There was a picture of him forcing himself on Applejack and Twilight in the Discord tag on tumblr and I actually had to stop looking because it upset me so much (not like, crying upset but just like that "wow that's not cool" kinda feeling). I've seen a lot of pictures of him forcing himself on the girls and it just doesn't fit his character in my head. I actually kinda imagine him being clueless on the subject of more "adult" matters being a spirit and all but you know that's just me.

 

-When people attack humanizations because of their race or because they don't EXACTLY fit to their headcanons. It's like. Well then draw your own version, jeez. I just wish it wasn't such a big deal and it didn't get pointed out so much, regardless of whether the character is white, black, Hispanic, etc etc. And it irks me that people get in such a tizzy about giving a character a disability or making them a bit chubbier. It just shows an attitude of total intolerance for what's different and it makes me so mad it's so prevalent in a fandom about accepting people that are different than you.

 

-When people assume the Apples would be incestuous because they're country folk. Figure that speaks for itself.

Pinkie being a crazy killer is definitely among them. I don't care if Pinkamena was a bit crazy and intense that doesn't mean she'd kill.

Incest in any form, I once watched a YouTube channel of Lil miss rarity and while disturbing I was transfixed, up until she started introducing Sweetie Belle into it. Yuck!

 

I've not read too much fan fiction etc so I've yet to see other stuff.

 

I do want to say that even though I dislike these things I'm not saying they shouldn't exist, just they're things I avoid.

Well, it doesn't offend me, but what really annoys me a bit is how the fandom overuses so many ideas and jokes:

 

First of all I don't care about bg ponies alot, but it's nice that people can use them for
stories/comics/etc and have room for interpretation. Though this sounds cool, it seems that 90% of the community use them to pull an overused joke and/or equips them with typical personlities.

It makes me roll my eyes when I see another "Lyra obsessed with humans",
"Derpy obsessed with Muffins", "Pinkie breaking the 4th wall" thing.

Those stuff got old really quick and I just can't laugh at the same joke more than a few times and it really annoys me that so many talented Bronies waste their time for retelling an old joke instead of making something new.
I just can't understand that there really are that many people who still enjoy these ideas that were used like 1000 times before.
