Oddly prophetic...

I've just woken up. Woken up from a very strange experience that for some reason, unsettled me greatly.

 

So last night, I had an oddly prophetic dream concerning MLP: FiM. I've been getting really excited for the next episode in recent days, mainly due to the 'longer plot line'. I believe this is the source for the dream. 

 

Now to the dream. I can't remember how it started exactly, but the scene was a rainy Canterlot, but not as we know it. there were ruins. Ruins on fire. Buildings were shattered. It looked like a magical pony Baghdad. Suddenly, my gaze drifted over to the cluttered streets of Canterlot, where Princess Celestia was walking. She was soaking wet from the rain, and was talking to herself (Not in a crazy way, just, you know). She was saying "If only we knew." She suddenly stopped walking and looked down. 

 

"If only you could have warned us about what you found, Twilight Sparkle."

 

She looks down, and my view is shifted to where she's looking - a gravestone with 'Twilight Sparkle' engraved on it.

So yeah. Any thoughts on this? I'm not quite sure whilst it has unsettled me, and you have to understand - I NEVER HAVE DREAMS LIKE THIS.

Perhaps what you saw was the aftermath of a evil force sacking the city of Canterlot?

 

There are things we fear could happen.

 

Perhaps something like this happened in a dark parallel universe of MLP FIM, where good has failed in defeating evil. Something like King Sombra won at of end of Episode The Crystal Empire, thus consuming the world in darkness and using mindless corrupted cannibalistic Ponies to carry out the sacking of Canterlot, where they spared nopony.

Dreams are great and you shouldn't break your head thinking about their meaning or something and just be happy you could spend some time in a different world that was more interesting, more exciting - or in case it was terrible, be glad it's over.

hmm, sounds like a good plot for a fanfic but in all siriousness, it probibly wont happen, twilight is too big of a charicter.

Creepy dream. I honestly don't know how the writers and Hasbro would make this work. Twilight's the main character pretty much. The show would ultimately collapse if she died. This would, however make a good season finale or premiere, but I don't know how they'd get the idea off the ground.

Very creepy dream, indeed. I had like a ton of MLP dreams/nightmares ever since I became a fan.

I even had a nightmare where all bronies ransacked the White House and took over the U.S. with an Equestria government.

Yeah, I guess it could be toned down a bit, then it would sound like something possible. I mean, Twilight has restrained from telling Celestia major things in the past. I guess it would make sense, without the tombstone part.

maybe theres an episode like this. that would be awesome because it may bring back the use of the past spell and celestia uses it to save twilight. or maybe it's celestia having a dream on the futur and tirek or gregor return to take equestria one and for all! THE POSSOBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!!

My dreams aren't like that. When I do dream, they're weird, violent, and action packed(firearms, zombies, and vehicles) I have no idea why. I haven't had a good dream in about 3 months, and if I did dream in that span I don't remember it.

They say we have up to 10 dreams a night (or something or other), so some are bound to be good. But then again, they also say that we only remember the bad things in life. Maybe that's why nightmares affect us so much.

In all honesty I don't think this dream was that bad. If you were planning to write a fan-fic and didn't have an idea, this may have been your brains easy way of helping you. There have been cases when one has a difficult problem they can't figure out, then our brain tends to move that problem into our dreams. Sometimes however the dreams come with a possible solution to the problem. If your were planning to write a fan-fic, well here is a good opening.

 

Besides you could have had a worse dream. Once I had a weird dream were we shifted from being in ponyvill to going to zombie land with ponies. It didn't help that earlier that day I had watched MLP: FIM and later that night I watched a zombie flick.

Agreed. That's why I don't remember anything. I MUST be dreaming, or I'm a very light sleeper. Before New Years', I didn't remember a dream for a couple months. I don't think I did, but then once I came back, I started having the weirdest dreams... I didn't know I could drive a bullldozer or an 18 wheeler. That's the thing, my mind must subconsciously know some things. I know the layout of helicopters and planes due to flight simulators, with all the little buttons and all. The 18 wheelers had a massive wheel and a bunch of buttons, but somehow I could still drive...

 

I remember the dreams that I... remember occurring. IT's weird to explain.

OMG!!! What a scary dream! I don't think it'll happen,however.Something like that would kill the show as we know it.Truth to be told,i've had a few dreams involving MLP,but my memory is too shady to remember them.They had all the mane cas (and Spike) however.Many other of my dreams have had cartoon characters such as Spongebob,The Fairly Oddparents and even The Powerpuff Girls

At least you have dreams at all. I don't think i recall having one in over a year, besides mabye a 2 second long memory when i wake up .
