Actually, I happen to be a gamer, but I only have 27 subscribers. Also, I could probably make a basic logo, but nothing amazingly pretty. Incase you wanted to know, my channel link is HERE. I make videos with my sister, @. So check us out and stuff. And it'll be great to be in a youtube group, as I love recording with others.

I've been wanting to get a youtube started. Just never knew where to begin. Plus I'm kind of (VERY) shy when it comes down to recording my voice . Which when I think of it, makes no sense since I use my actual pic as an avatar on this site .

I don't see why not, I've been meaning to do something like this for quite a while so I'm in, if you'll take me. I don't know how I would react to voice recordings as I am shy in real life, but I'll give it a shot.  Oh and I have a south English accent, if that's important. Maybe we could do video's targeted specifically at MLP forums, brony gaming but not 100% stuff?

I'm a YouTuber(link in that there sig below), i'm partnered with Maker Studio right now (if you want to get partnered yourself just PM me and i can send you a referral link), I'm actually working on a Sniping collective/Clan project right now  but i would be entirely up for some cross promotion, i thoroughly believe in the whole principle of together to the top, linking your channel to other channels to help each-other out and all that shizzle. I would be willing to put channels in my "Other channels" box and drop some shout outs in videos for channels similar to mine.

I play a lot of games, and have considered making LPs, but don't really have the time or place for them, and probably not the software either.

 

Interestingly enough, I do already have 35 subscribers. I'm fairly certain all of them are from a single project I did that a popular channel featured.

I do let's play videos and playthroughs, I have considered doing fanfiction readings, but my very few subscribers are mostly non-bronies. I would love to join up with some group or so to engage in a more commutative type of video making.

 

 

now what would be the best way to host this group/keep them all in contact with each other?

 

I'm going to suggest Skype, because that also automatically provides the means for recording with each other.

Good idea I have fraps, what does everypony else have in the way of recording? and thanks to lost I have no discorverd im eligable for a partnership with rpm if there good enough for the yogscast theure good enough for me but im good to have to become active again and put in some good old fashioned work and effort

I use fraps as well. Also, if we are using skype for this, my username is gamingrulez. DO NOT call me without a reason. I am a busy person, and am in another skype call 85% of the time. I've had to hang up of like, five people today. :/

I use various programmes depending on what I'm recording.

 

- FRAPS

- XSplit broadcaster

- Camtasia recorder

- *Some other recorder of which I do not know the name off the top of my head.

- Audacity (audio only)

 

On another note, I have been granted certain partner privileges by Youtube on my main account. Not sure if I'll actually use that for anything though... .

I was planning on recording commentary to a Pokemon LP I have recorded and edited and I was wondering if any of you guys would be up for joining me. I plan on recording somewhere between 2:00 pm GMT and 5:00 pm GMT. (10:00 am CST and noon CST)

 

Alternatively there's a very small chance that I might be able to reschedule to somewhere after 10:00 pm GMT. (5:00 pm CST)

This sounds like something I would be interested in doing. I wont be able to do it 2:00 pm GMT to 5:00 pm GMT, as I don't plan on being awake between midnight and five o'clock in the morning, but 10 could work.

Interesting... what's your timezone? I might be able to get my stuff done a little earlier if that would help any, because my ability to record after 10:00 pm depends fully on whether or not my family is awake and blasting on the background.

AEST. 10 pm would be 8 am the next day. Australians are is the future and stuff. It's pretty chill. And, it's fine if it can't happen. I fully understand timezones and such. About six months ago, I was recording at four in the morning. So yeah. I might end up being awake anyway.

Suppose I could get my stuff ready for recording about an hour earlier (11:00 pm for you), would that be a feasible time? Do you maybe have somewhere you have to be the next morning, or do you generally just don't want to stay up that late? I can understand in either case.

That sounds like a very bad idea. Throwing off your regular sleeping schedule by 3 hours is not something I'd want to advice you to do.  I guess I'll just have to wait and see how things turn out.

I currently use Bandicam for any of my recording needs, though if I was going to do a serious Let's Play I would need to either get the full version or find something else; that watermark annoys me. I was thinking Ezvid, because although it's not very popular it does have a lot better features than anything else for free and their watermark is a short bit at the end rather than a persistent overlay. Not that I don't mind paying a little (I think the full version of Bandicam's only $40), but if it's free and good enough for my needs I don't see why not.

I have a youtube channel with game commentary myself. I used Fraps until just recently when I found and tried out Mirillis' Action! recording software. Suddenly an hour of recording doesnt eat up 100g+ on my harddrive, and in fact, often only takes up about 15-20g!

As for my channel itself, I have just hit 50 subs. I don't do any real advertising mind you, and certainly refuse to post on other peoples videos.

Edit: I should mention I have a voip service also that is free to use, and doesn't require Skype info or any other personal info being given out. If there is interest, I can easily set up a sub-channel for people to use.

This is the kind of stuff that i am focusing most of my efforts on now, it takes me a week to get the shots and another week of editing for each episode... but i love the result.
