..........How do you have breakfast at 4:15? I eat breakfast 2 hours ago, and right now it's 12:17! And I still have lunch, "merienda" (think tea time, except without tea, or at least not normally cause it depends on taste, and doesn't last till 9PM), and dinner!...I feel slightly confused now.

Hmmm...yes. There is. A human can be any human being the author thinks up, and not necessarily how the author think himself/herself he/she is, not to mention, the already obvious thing being a human allows and doesn't allow different things than being a pony. A ponysona in exchange represents the authors feelings and actions according to how the author thinks he MIGHT act himself/herself, made slightly easier by the fact he/she is a pony who can "blend in", so to speak. At least that's how I see it.

My one year old nephew loves pulling the cable connecting the modem to the wall so that everything on the desk topples over.

He calls it 'fun'...

Yes and no. You are mostly right, but it would be kinda generalizing if you say escapism is all the HIE and etc represent. Sometimes, it's a matter of finding the "What if" situation, that doesn't necessarily apply to escapism. You think every HiE story is an escapist one, but truth is, that isn't right. Sometimes, is just taking the human to a different context and see what would happen. This ISN'T always a subconscious thought of the human to put their mind into another human, and imagine themselves escaping from the horrible claws of Earth, don't you agree?
