Aww, nuts.  I just now thought of the Spike Spiegel reference, and I was hoping no one beat me to it.  That's a great one, though.

 

Spike really is a great character though.  I really like how he regularly provides unique and different perspectives than any of the ponies.  His character is well written, and doesn't come off as just another pony.  It's made very apparent through his personality that he's a completely different species.  I like that.
