Ah, I just saw Black Hawk Down not too long ago. Not sure if I've mentioned it before, but I love military-themed movies, and just about anything else, so when I saw this on a YT video I just had to watch it. Great movie, I loved it!

I went and saw "12 Years a Slave" on Tuesday.  That is one messed up story.  The movie will probably win several Academy Awards, especially Best Actor.  It boggles my mind that widespread slavery could ever exist in a supposedly civilized society.

In theaters, it was The Monuments Men. Pretty good and quite accurate with what happened (My mom is a huge fan of the book).

Prisoners. Refreshingly subversive, the entire cast is at the top of their game, engaging from beginning to brilliant ending. Check it out, folks.

So, yesterday I watched a horror movie with my father. Ahh, it felt soooo good to watch a horror. It had been so many days..

 

It was a torture-type film and it was actually way better than I expected. The film is called Territories, it's from 2010. I just made a little review here if you are interested

The last film I actually saw (not sure which this thread is asking) was The Wolf of Wall Street, although that was on putlocker. Both are great movies, I'll probably buy them both when they're released.

Just watched Ender's Game. Pretty decent. Did cover everything in the book, especially aftermath of the Buggers defeat, but Harrison Ford was great as was the kids in the film surprisingly. They picked an okay bunch, which for child actors is HARD to do.

I'm trying to get through all the Best Picture nominees, and my latest viewing is Dallas Buyers Club.

 

It was...okay. A very workmanlike biopic, slightly elevated from mediocrity by some fine performances from the two male leads. Leto and McConoughwhat'shisname. The latter is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors but his name is still a pain for me to spell.

 

Anyway, 6/10
