The new Ghostbusters last night. It was very good! That may mostly have to do with the fact that I'm easily amused but it was still very good! They were all very funny and the story was actually pretty good! There were some things that weren;t explained and the Fall Out Boy song is terrible but otherwise it's a solid 9/10.

I just got done watching Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood. It has to be one of the dumbest movies I've ever seen, but I love it.

That is quite possibly the BEST movie title to come out of Hollywood.

 

Last night we watched a true classic. The 1953 version of "The War of the Worlds". If you accept the special effects (They're really excellent for the time) it's a chilling story. I give it two thumbs up. There is an iconic scene in the film that always sends chills down me. A kindly old minister points out that nobody tried to communicate with the martians. He slips past the military lines and slowly walks up to the Martian encampment. Holding his bible up with one hand, he recites the Lord's Prayer. The Martian war machine turns to him and opens fire with it's heat ray. The minister's incineration triggers the army's attack.

 

By the way. The Youtuber is wrong, not me. The release date IS 1953!

I finally seen Tomorrowland. That...was a surprisingly good film. It was fairly well acted and the plot was confusing, yet intriguing at the same time. It is interesting how accurate it sums up how humanity is treating the planet at this point and how obsessed everyone is with the apocalypse. got me thinking and I didn't expect that at all.

 

one thing I can say for sure as well, the previews are basically a lie. The trailers were not accurate to the film at all.
