Have you seen The Boy and the Heron yet? :BrightMacContent:

I haven't seen it yet and I'm dying to! I have to add this to my Must-See list for this year!

What did you think of it? :ooh:

Love Jason Statham's straight-forward and :sealed:insane tactics to go after those online criminals.  One of the baddies mentioned NFTs.  Don't do phishing scams:ithastolookpretty:

I marathoned the original Star Wars trilogy last night. This is a tradition of mine that I do a few times a year. I throw in the prequels and Rogue One every now and then to add some variety. :P

Drive Away Dolls - A zany and uneven, but ultimately enjoyable queer comedy. out of 10.

Dune: Part Two - Everything a sequel should be and then some. Large in scope, top notch acting, incredible music, and incredible action sequences. My favorite movie of the year so far. 10 out of 10.

Ferrari.  Visually good with excellent car sequences but fell rather flat with the drama of family and business.

From Up On Poppy Hill (2011) My favorite ‘slice of life’ Ghibli movie, with one of my favorite characters (Umi Matsuzaki) with an incredible dub by Sarah Bolger. I love this movie; it makes me happy and calm when life is in turmoil. I’ve seen it dozens of times and I’ll see it dozens more.

Barbie: Princess and the Pauper (2004) One of my top three or four Barbie movies. In every way this is a perfect movie and it pains me that most people would write it off because it’s ‘just a cartoon for little girls’ (sounds familiar, doesn’t it, my good ponies?) It has an amazing script, great direction, talented voice actors, memorable songs, a beautiful score, and overall it’s a freaking classic! I was so blown away by this that I was walking on air after watching it. This is the fourth Barbie movie made in the ‘modern era’ (not counting the two Barbie movies from the ‘80s) and the cast and crew were at the top of their game.

The Guns of Navarone (1961) A solid WW2 action movie starring Gregory Peck, David Niven and Anthony Quinn. Written by Alistair MacLean, who brought us Where Eagles Dare, this is another adventure featuring a group of specialists infiltrating enemy territory on a secret mission. In this case the mission is to destroy two massive German guns guarding shipping lanes in the Greek islands before they can take out a convoy of American rescue ships. It’s very good; maybe a tad over long (and occasionally short on heroic conduct by the good guys), but engrossing and worth the ride.

You have great taste in movies, Dreamy. :D

I need to see this Barbie movie, I think I might have it in my collection.

Saving Private Ryan, I was with my grandfather, he has a surprising amount of action movies (He even has the entire John Wick series!) and I noticed it in the pile, I talked about how I've heard good things about it but haven't seen it, and so he put it on, set the surround sound up, and I realized... If he is turning on surround sound something intense is happening... I saw the opening scene, simply the "Omaha Beach, Dog Green Sector, June 6, 1944" made me realize that I was about to see a tragedy, and what a tragedy it was. I still believe that Saving Private Ryan is the best war movie I've watched.

Reservoir Dogs, the best crime movie I've ever watched. Now I realized watching it that I feel like it may have inspired one of the games I like, given the creators of it have said it was inspired by several crime movies. Mr White probably inspired Dallas, and Mr Blonde definitely inspired Wolf.

Evil Dead II. Just re-watched it for 3'rd time. Still one of the best films in series)

I liked the movie "The Raid". This movie is a very good action movie. There are beautiful hand-to-hand fights in the film. I don't know how to write reviews

Honestly i bad at writing reviews as well. From my perspective best catch in movie, is the fact that all combat and almost all filming time was in one high-rise building. Whole concept of raiding(raiding ha) building full of cartel gangs and some addicts is original and more pleasant than constantly changing location of battle. It makes film more build up at start and more realistic.

All Quiet on the Western Front (2022).

This is the best film about the war. It shows what war really looks like. (This film about WW1).
I've seen a lot of military videos like military motivation on YouTube. In these videos, the war is shown as if it's a cool thing, but it's not. Under the military videos, I often find comments where people write something like let's grab something, let's declare war on someone. I don't understand such people. Such people should watch this film to understand what will happen to them in the war. They need to understand that war is not cool. I doubt they'll understand that. Some people are too stupid.
This is the only movie that made me cry (The only thing that made me cry was the animation on YouTube "My Little Dashie"). At the moment where the main character of the film was trying to save an enemy soldier whom he was trying to kill.
If you want to see what war looks like, you need to watch this movie, despite the fact that modern wars are slightly different from the one shown in the film.
