About the RP

Some may know this RP as the one that I kicked off to "prank" Zoop with. Well, it is now a reformed RP with a reformed purpose. I intend for this to be a place for all RP players to join in for something of an interesting experience. This RP will provide a combination of mystery, romance, intrigue, and some slice of life. If you want this, then you're in the right place. Hopefully, this experience will lead to an extended appreciation of RP as both an art form and entertainment.

Warning: Don't judge activity by the first few pages. We had a momentary break while I recovered from self-stunning.

The Setting

The setting for this RP is a bit interesting. All players start out in a forest - White Lake Woods. This forest is located near Ponyville, on the opposite side from where Everfree is. In this forest, there is a large cottage, and there is a rather ferocious storm taking place. Rain is pouring down, and lightening fills the sky. The cottage is a refuge from the storm.

The Plot

Ponies are staggering into the cottage from the forest. Some were lost. Some were traveling but were sidetracked by the storm. Others were, perhaps, just looking for a new adventure. The owner of the cottage, Misty Leaves, is all too happy to open her doors for the tired and soaking travelers. Now, the ponies are beginning to interact, forming friendships, alliances, and perhaps something else? We'll have to wait and see, and of course, all is not as it seems.

The Rules

Any RP player that wants to joined should be able to keep up. This isn't going to be an advanced RP by any measure. Players are welcome to write more as the situation fits, but should not feel obligated to make walls. This won't be an extremely fast RP. It will be faster than an advanced RP, but not quite as fast as the more active non-advanced RP games. A dozen posts in an hour would be a rare occurrence.

With that said, here are the ground rules of this RP. I have no shame, this template is based heavily on the original by @.

• No godmodding, Mary-Sues, etc. See The General Guide to Roleplaying for the big no-nos in more detail.
• Proper spelling and grammar is expected at all times. I will not chew you out for minor typos, but if it is consistent, I will have to put my hoof down.
• To keep activity up, there will be an activity check every two weeks. If you have not posted in two weeks, your character will meet a terrible fate.
• I will be carefully overlooking and approving every character form that is posted. Just because you post it, does not mean you are automatically accepted. If you are accepted, I will quote your post and say Accepted. Until then, you are NOT accepted into the RP and cannot post until I say so. If you are not accepted, I will quote your post and explain what you need to change to become accepted.
• Alicorns are strictly prohibited. You may only play as an earth pony, a pegasus, a flower (legit), or a unicorn.

Generally speaking, almost all characters that meet these rules are acceptable.

About Your Characters

An RP game is a story. Like any good story, it is powered by the characters. While I have a certain "direction" that I tend to steer things in, I allow players enormous flexibility to change and control the flow of the storyline as well. Your presence in the RP is only as good as your ability to portray your character and to build and develop them throughout the game.

As far as the type of character interactions allowed, you have tremendous freedom here. I only ask that some mild constraints be followed.

• Keep it Safe for Work. I have a low tolerance for anything that pushes the limits of the rules of the site, and I actually do read stuff from RP games while at work, most of the time. This rule is not flexible.
• Avoid random, large-scale violence. This is a mystery RP, yes, but it is in the venue of the classic mysteries. (Yes, Zoop, they include romance, keep your fur on, geeze.) Anyways... Please, none of the modern, gunslinging tomfoolery. Suddenly pulling out weaponry and wreaking havoc will get you kicked, instantly. Every action must have a reason.

Other than that, I have no major limitations on character interactions. In addition to that, while I am the DM, I don't god mode through my own characters. (Certainly, you can expect a villain to have the ability to express this power, but I wouldn't call this god modding, as it is a built-in attribute of the character, themselves.)

As I alluded to earlier, this is a character driven RP game, so without further ado, we present the (current) players. (Note: If you were in any of the previous RPs, even the canceled out first one, then you can consider your position in this one to be high priority.) (Another Note: Yup, when your character joins, I'm going to type up a description of them just like mine, and yes again... Multiple characters are welcome. Just keep in mind that the rooms are limited.)

Rocket was out on his evening run when the storm started, he rushed towards whatever shelter he could find. he saw a cottage and started banging on the door, "is anypony in there! i could really use some shelter right now!" he screamed as he stood in the rain

I think a few minutes to make, if that. This isn't a super high-speed RP. He is from there, as in it is his home...however that being said I also mentioned on my OC page that he's visiting Equestria on a journey of self-discovery. You could just say that he's a complete stranger to all and leave it at that if you're not too keen on the whole space thing. I can understand if you don't think it'd be a good fit for your RP, at the end of the day it is yours after all.

Really? Yes! This confirms my self-delusions of being a celebrity in the roleplay world! But seriously, I'm kind of surprised you even realize I exist. Frankly, you don't have any reason to that I can think of. I know I've never spoken to you directly.
