After deep reflection, I've changed from Luna to Cadence really.  However, the moon princess does come in at a close second.  I like Cadenza just a bit more because she has a pretty awesome cutie mark, and her connection with an entire crystal kingdom is pretty interesting.

Luna is best Princess for a variety of reasons. I loved her (as most people did) in Luna eclipsed. But I also loved what she did in Sleepless in Ponyville. She was so kind to Scootaloo, she wasn't very humorous in that episode but she showed a very kind side of herself. Cadence to me is a close second but Luna barley beats her.

Without a doubt Luna is my choice. Celestia is second. Twilight third and Cadence is last *that doesn't mean I hate her*

 

Its as I've stateded many times. There's a lot of things I like about Luna and that we have a lot in common.

Princess Luna is the best princess for many reasons. She has a cool design, is cute, but my favorite aspect of her is her personality. Unlike most princesses, she is an underdog character and has a flaws and is not girly.

 

If it wasn't obvious, I would love to see more Luna in future episodes.

I'm really starting to adore Luna but, my favorite princess is Celestia. Luna is pretty cute when she is a very adorable filly. But, all of the princesses have their pros and cons.

Princess Luna is tied with Derpy on my "Best Pony" list at number 2. Luna is such an awesome character with a unique personality. I also really like her mane design and colour scheme. She was hilarious in Luna Eclipsed and really helpful to Scootaloo in that other episode she showed up in.

 

As for where Celestia is on the best princess scale, we run into issues... Celestia is number 4-7 on my best pony list and the mane six are all tied at number 3. This means it would go Luna, Twilight, Celestia and Cadence... You know what though, screw it, I'm building a secondary scale for this!

I actually like Celestia quite a bit as well and the two are very closely matched in the battle of the princesses. While she doesn't have as interesting a design (in my opinion), I like her responsible yet caring personality.

She's massively underutilized in the show. I mean, they need to preserve her mystery and all that, but at least drop hints that she's *doing* something during these crisis situations.

 

Though the show treats both her and Celestia similarly on occasion: Chrysalis's big reveal and monologue, and what? Celestia had an emergency run to get some Starbucks or something and was gone for ten minutes? Sheesh.

This is a tough topic to post on...In my heart I love Cadence, and Luna. I will never choose between them! Luna is so graceful and her character is drawn so perfectly! Cadence has that AMAZING singing voice and is just so beautiful when her hair is unkempt. Celestia is next after them for the depth of her character and the prominence she has within the show. I'm still on the fence about Twilight being a princess, the process didn't quite feel right but at the same time I'm happy she is progressing after so much effort.

I love Luna. She's the other side to "Celestia's coin" in my opinion. If I have to chose, I say that Celestia is the best princess but I prefer to treat them as equals, even if the people writing the episodes don't show it this way. We need an episode of them both as sisters, see how they live with each other.

 

I'm for an United Equestria.   I think they are like the Mane 6. They shine the best when they are together.

Cadance is best princess mainly because she is a most accessible of the princesses, kinda like the people's princess and she is more beautiful in my opinion. Oh and she's actually show some heroism unlike the others excluded twilight.

I agree with you but Celestia shows a little bit (: lol she fights the changlings queen... she went smack talk during that part.. to bad Shining armor loves Cadence so much it powered the queen so much she beat Celestia ): If only Luna was there and not resting... that would be a bye bye to the Queen ;P
