Do you have self-control?

Hah, 'self control'? That just made me laugh.   NOT a single human in  the whole universe has such things as that control. First of all, the hormones lead the body, irregardless of how much you desire not to do something.

True about hormones, false about the lack of self control. Self control is the ability to control yourself over your more basic desires and the like. And there are many that have complete sefl control, even entire societies that practice it. Samurai of the Sengoroku period and before? Most monks of European and Asian faiths, and others besides. Plus an individual's own mindset. I have what I would call complete self control and it was not hard for me to achieve it, but for a different reason than practice or meditation

I have a very strong sense of self control. Whether it's blasting off at someone when they're yelling at me for physically and psychologically no reason, or resisting the urge to eat the pizza in the fridge that's supposed to be for dinner. I made that sound. Really bad. wow.

Er, it really just depends on the day, sometimes I have more control about things then others. and same thing with certain things, It also depends how much I have that day and stuff, and how strong the urge is.

I do try my best to exhibit self control, but like anyone else I'm far from perfect at it.

I think my worst one is controlling my anger and not getting worked up on it, because I do have a tendency at times to lash out at people, just typically not here since I have time to think before saying things outta anger.

I feel like I do at times. But most of the time, no I don't honestly. I'm hoping this will get better as I get older. It's something I need to work on.

I generally don't need a lot of self control. I eat what I can afford, I don't really consider quitting smoking a priority, I'm outright addicted to coffee but it really doesn't matter. I work in customer service so sometimes it takes self control not to yell or get upset but because I've been doing it for so long I am just subconsciously more professional. So I guess I don't have a lot of self control but again, I don't need it.

When it's about food etc then yes but when it's about anger I just can't, even though I know the consequences will be bad. Always end up telling off someone in an incredibly harsh way even worse.......

If I wanted to have self control I could. Usually when it comes to food I'm like "screw it" and eat it anyways. I can easily control my temper, I'm a very calm person anyways. I cannot for the life of me talk to people who I am intimidated by, even in the slightest. If I think someone has social status higher than me, or any power over me (even if they don't) I find it incredibly difficult to carry on a conversation without feeling like an idiot.

Lots in the anger department, even when I actually try to be mean, I never do it properly. :P For the food area, eh, I can get really frustrated when I absolutely crave something that we had, and my brothers decided to eat the rest of it. As for work habits? Absolutely no control. Been trying to do my homework all my life, and I always end up in the same rut.

Honestly, no. And I don't need it. I have control when I need to so I don't find myself in a difficult social situation when others are involved but for the most part I'm a hedonist. Being selfish and doing what I want when I can is the only way to stay liberated in this world for me. Otherwise I'll lose what makes me me. Staying authentic is more important to me than having superficial relationships and social standing.

I'm good enough at some things like not eating junk, but I speak my mind way too much. And when I feel angry or sad, I only really make it worse by trying to hide these emotions. My poker face sucks lol. But on the internet, I keep my thoughts to myself otherwise.

No, I don't. I've done terribly stupid things because I've acted purely on emotion and nothing else.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.
