books Favourite book series!

All right first things first this is a topic about a series of books, not stand alone books like Steven King's It or any others you may know. Second, I would count The hobbit as a book in a series as it is a prequel and without it we would have no idea about how the Ring was given to Bilbo. So, prequels count. :D

TLDR; No stand alone books, prequels are allowed though.

Alrighty lets get started. I have been an avid reader for all of my life and have read many great series of books (Lord Of The Rings, Warrior Cats, Skulduggery Pleasant etc) and I was just wondering what sort of books fellow bronies read and what their favourite series of books would be. So here's mine:

1. The Hunger Games series- I couldn't put these down for a second and the ending was great.

2. Warrior Cats first series- Those books made up my whole years 5-6 and I positively adored them. In fact I even went and brought some special editions :3

3.The Gone Series- I liked the idea of a Lord Of The Flies book with kick ass powers so this book immediately got to me. Plus the cliffhangers on each one are uber epic.

So, what are your favourite book series'?

Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, The lost series (interesting series about kids from history living in modern times and time travel, highly recommend you read it)

Other than that not many book series I read, I did try to read Lord of The Rings and the Hunger Games, which The Hunger Games didn't quite capture my interest.

- Silverwing

- Deltora Quest

- Harry Potter

- The Saga of Darren Shan (Cirque du Freak)

- The Seventh Tower

- Uglies

Probably a few more but these are all the ones off the top of my head.

The ones that come to mind are:

The Redwall Series

The Percy Jackson Series(including the new Heroes of Olympus spin-offs)

The Kane Chronicles(by the same author as Percy Jackson, just with Egyptian mythology instead of Greek and Roman)

The Maximum Ride Series(what I've read so far anyway, which is only the first book and about half of the second one)

My god I had completely forgotten about the Silverwing series! I just looked it up and remembered reading it when I was like 8. Jeez, i'm going to have to re-read them. ^_^

Their definitely great. Though it was hard to get into Firewing because of the massive change in all of the characters and setting. lol

Still, once I got into it Firewing is equally as good as the other two imo.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians of course! :D

Oh and this old book trilogy my dad gave me that I don't know the name of....

The names are something like "the wishsong of shannara" "the elfstones of shannara" and something else.

And the hunger games, Deltora quest, bionicle legends and of course.... My absolute favorite:

THE ORIGINAL ANIMORPHS SERIES

Freaking 54 books of amazing, as well as tons of extra books/prequels.

Interesting thought. Here is my list.

-The Alex Rider Series: I've grown up reading the books and I'm actually very fond of it. Wish I could finish up the series though; never did get a chance to reading Scorpia Rising.

-Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events: I think its safe to say that the locations of where these siblings went combined with the description of the book at the back of it made the series very fun to read. Still need to read the final book as well.

-The Maze Runner: Had to read it in class last year, was great. Survival books like that are pretty cool and trying to find out about what happens when they get to the testing guys has got me giddy like a little school boy - especially since The Death Cure's in my school Library! :D

-The Behemoth Series: Alright, it was the book covers that got me into the series, but the way the story was written with the fanatical styling that it takes on WWI (using mechanical vs. biological weapons of mass destruction) makes me wanna read it. The final book is released and I will have to get it soon.

I realized that I have a lot of "final books in the series" that I need to read.

Also, am I the only one that didn't like The Hunger Games as a series? The first book was great, but Catching Fire and Mockingbird... <---- that.

Well, there's the Ender's Game Quartet, the Hunger Games Trilogy, the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Underland Chronicles, the Belgariad, and a lot more that don't come to mind at the moment. And Harry Potter, I guess.
