Okay, here it is. Colgate vs Carrot Top. Who do you like better?

I voted for Colgate. I like the idea behind her - a pony dentist. Her colour scheme appeals more to me than Carrot Top's does, and the recent animation that allowed her to shine (A Day at the Dentist) gave her a kind disposition and really cute voice n.n She's one of the principal ponies to showcase exactly what fanon means, too. I wouldn't ship her with another background pony, she's just a cute little bystander.

 

The fan art of her is also, for the most part, made to look cute. Which I always love in fan art. This one got my attention the other day.

Colgate for sure. I know there are people out there, that love Colgate and plus her mane looks like toothpaste. She will always remind us to brush our teeth, plus she is pretty hilarious in A Day At The Dentist fan animation. Plus, her design is pretty cool.

As much as I love Carrot Top I love Colgate more! She's so cute at times and just like everypony else I LOVE her toothpaste hair! Also not only is her design cute she is actually a quite beautiful mare in general.

I like colgate better, she has this very calming color scheme to me, and Its pretty awesome looking in general really.

 

She also has a more interesting backstory as the fans interpret her, while Carot top I don't find to be anything amazingly interesting(I honestly don't know much about carot top.) and I don't find her color scheme as appealing as Colgates.

 

Colgate probaly is up there for one of my favorite show pony color schemes. Its very soothing and I just like how it blends.

Colgate/Minuette with out a doubt.I like her colorset, I think she needs more screen time. Even though Colgate/Minuette is one of my lesser fave background ponies....I prefer Tavi and Vinyl.

I personally preser Colgate as well; mainly because you just see more of her overall than Carrot Top, so she has a touch more personality to her. Though, I still like Carrot top without a doubt. My vote could easily change if she becomes a bigger character in the works.

For the obvious not-getting-sued reason, Colgate got the name Minuette slapped on her. A nice name, but they might as well have called her toothpaste or something damn near close.

 

I kind of indirectly answered, but yeah Colgate. Rina-Chan undoubtedly shot her into popularity.

I also really enjoy the plots people have given her, being a time lord that just wants to settle down as a dentist.

(without seeing the vote results) i voted carrot top .... mostly cause i really like her mane, the same which inspired my avatar's mane! also because i'm in love with that one woodentoaster song about her i'm not too familiar with either of them, but JEEZ, not a single vote for her?? i wasn't expecting that.

Well, I'm torn.

 

 

I love both of these characters and this is almost torture having to choose between them both. I really like Carrot Top's color scheme, but I also really like the theme behind Colgate of her being a dentist. And they are both extremely adorable. I also really like Carrot Top's mane style. But Colgate's mane is really cute too.

 

But I guess in the end; I would choose Carrot Top/Golden Harvest. Her mane style is just so perfect and I love carrots. She also looks adorable and I love her color scheme. And did I mention she's adorable?

Colgate by far, I love her color scheme. Plus, I love her original name as well. I also think that Colgate is cuter.

 

I never really had much of an interest in Carrot Top. Not sure why. I always look for other background ponies before her. :x

Carrot Top just doesn't have enough screen time. I choose Colgate because she's just so distinctive, and brought my attention to her.
