So what are your unpopular opinions related to video-games?

My unpopular opinions:

- All Mario games are boring and terrible

- Battlefield 3 is pretty much the same as Call of Duty, just better graphics

- Call of Duty: Ghosts actually looks good

- Blink was a good game

- Assassin's Creed II was the worst of the series

 

That's all of mine for now, I'll probably add more later.

Okay, some of mine:

 

- Poke'mon improves with every new generation

 

- I think Final Fantasy XIII is extremely underrated

 

- Demon's souls and Dark Souls are totally overrated

 

- I liked the Mass Effect 3 ending from the very beginning

 

- I think Star Fox: Assault is underrated as well

 

- Diablo 3 will (in retrospect) be better than Diablo 2

The last good Nintendo console was the GameCube. After the success of the Wii, they lost their touch.

 

Dota 2, League of Legends, Super Monday Night Combat... bleh. MOBAs aren't that fun.

 

Nintendo handhelds aren't indestructible. A knee from an 11-year-old is enough to break a GBA SP screen.

 

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is the best game in the series.

My unpopular opinion: Halo 2 sucked hard. Not only was it simply not fun to play for any decent FPS player, but through massive game design flaws, it created an illusion of skill-based gameplay where there really is none.

- Minecraft is severely overrated. Yes, it's good, but it's not as good as the hype would lead you to believe. I only got about 2 weeks of on and off gameplay before I got bored of it.

 

- FPS still has potential as a genre.

 

- Starcraft is a Warhammer 40,000 ripoff and always will be.

 

- Battlefield 4 looks the same as Battlefield 3.

 

- Portal 2 is better than Portal 1

 

- Half Life: Source is better than Half Life 2 (More weapons, better controls, better enemy variety) This opinion will probably change though.)

 

- The Team Fortress 2 community is not as mature as everyone makes it out to be. In fact, I find it's one of the most immature (on PC.)

 

- Slender isn't scary. At all.

 

- Halo 4 is completely pointless, as the story was wrapped up perfectly by Halo 3. If they'd made another prequel like Reach, I might have been OK with that, but continuing the story was just a stupid move. I liked the idea that we didn't know what happened to Master Chief.

 

Should have seen it coming from the start though. It's an extremely popular title owned by Microsoft. Of course they're going to milk it as much as possible.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy was fun

Skyrim is just all right

SOCOM is the best online shooting series

Black ops 1 and 2 are sub par games and i only play them for friebds

Slender is overrated and just isn't scary anymore

I liked the ending to The Last of Us (This is sort of a 50/50 thing, not everyone likes or hates it)

Minecraft is awesome and fun and all, but I got from super-addicted to bored and cbf to play in less than 2 weeks, I'll probably start playing it again sooner or later and become addicted to it though.

Captain Falcon is overrated and isn't funny

I actually loved playing FIFA on my PSP and I'm not even a huge fan of soccer

TF2 isn't fun for me, and I don't think the humor there is even that funny.

Some of mine?

Warfighter was one of the best blockbuster shooter titles last year, I'd say only beaten by Battlefield 3.

I hate Madden NFL. It isnt fun at all.

Age of Empires was the best Strategy game YET.

Halo 2 is the worst Halo title, other than Halo Reach and Halo 4 tie.

As a non-Sonic fan, I think Sonic Heroes is a rather enjoyable game. The writing is terrible, sure, but the gameplay is  really fun. I beat the game back in 2005 and would still be willing to replay some levels.

Resident Evil 4 was a fantastic change for the series, Capcom just took the wrong ideas from it

Starfox Adventures is underrated as fuck

Twilight Princess was the best 3D Zelda

I liked Raiden

I liked Squall more than Cloud or Zidane

FFVIII was my favorite PS1 mainline Final Fantasy

X is cooler than Zero

Starfox 64 quotes, especially "DO A BARREL ROLL!", are some of the most annoying things on the internert

RTS games are incredibly boring

Minecraft is bleh

I liked the Wii

WWII Call of Duty>Modern Warfare Call of Duty

Skyrim isn't that great

Titanfall looks incredibly boring

Despite not caring for the Xbone, they had some of the best games at E3

N64 and the original Xbox are the most overrated consoles ever

Gamecube and the Dreamcast are the most underrated consoles ever

PSP>DS

Call of Duty 3 is underrated

Megaman X6 and X8 are underrated

Killzone is incredbly boring

Crytek sucks for refusing to being back Timesplitters

Insomniac is better at making games like Ratchet & Clank than Resistance

Gears of War is a mediocre franchise and Epic is a mediocre developer

I absolutely loathe Kratos from God of War

The Arbiter is cooler than Master Chief

I liked Mass Effect 3's ending, before and after the Extended Cut.

Mass Effect 1 is probably the laziest of the 3 games, if it's even possible to 'lazily' develop games.

Fallout:New Vegas>Fallout 3

Three Dog isn't as good a character as people

make him out to be.

I actually like CoD, it's a fun way to pass the time.

Minecraft sucks. It's fun/challenging for like the first hour and a half and then gets stale really quick.

the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time isn't the best game in the series, Majora's Mask and Wind Waker both beat it.

I'm getting very tired of Modern/Futuristic shooters.

I didn't like Pokemon Black and White. (I liked B&W2 though)

I like Battlefield 3. 

I loved FFXIII.

I really enjoyed Mass Effect 3. The ending could've been a tad better, but oh well. I still had fun with the game.

I saw someone wrote about Sonic Heroes. I LOVED that game as a kid. Do I still own it? I should go play it now. 

Crysis 3 bored me.

Minecraft can be fun. I just want a decent survival server to play on without people stealing my crap. 

I don't really care for Black Ops 2 Zombies. I prefer Black Ops zombies by far.

Call of Duty can be fun. I can only play it so often though before I need a good month break or so.

Borderlands 2 can be fun, but it gets boring fast.

Not sure how unpopular this is, but I wouldn't say it's popular, either. I love the Epic Mickey series. The second one is even better in my opinion. I probably think this because I'm not an avid gamer, but I think it is one of the best games I personally played on any system. I thought it was going to be bad at first, but it is quite excellent. Oswald is the best.

Medal Of Honor 2010 has the best singleplayer campaign of any FPS.

Medal Of Honor 2010 has terrible multiplayer.

 

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is the best CoD

Call of Duty games are better than everyone want to think.

 

Need For Speed: Most Wanted (the old one) is overrated.

The only good things about Need For Speed: Underground 2 are the tuning options and the Jackson Heights area, although the streets are still way too wide.

Need For Speed: ProStreet is the best NFS.

 

Project CARS is the best racing game.

 

Total Annihilation is better than Starcraft.

 

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is underrated.

 

Counter Strike 1.6 is better than CSS and CSGO.

• BioShock Infinite was a disappointment

I found Skyrim sort of uninteresting

I actually enjoy Cod more than Battlefield

Amnesia isn't that scary

Despite being a PS fan I actually like the Xbox One design

Grand Theft Auto is the best series I've ever played

And despite being both a PC/console gamer, PC "elitists" annoy the living sh*t out of me.

Console gaming has always been inferior to pc gaming in every way, and the unveiling of all 3 major consoles newest models has more than proved that.

 

Call of duty: ghosts - hohum, more of the same. It was better when it was ww2.

 

Mass effect 3's ending was actually very good, and extremely clever if you were femshep and chose green.

 

La noire is a great game, you just have to NOT treat it like mafia or GTA.

 

Dead space isn't scary... At all. Never has been.

The first Mega Man is the hardest game I've played

Dead Space is scarier on iOS than on consoles

I think "Next-Gen" games would run perfectly fine on "Current-Gen" consoles with some minor tweaks

There was nothing wrong with the ending of Bioshock Infinite and it's one of the best games I've played, period.

DmC is not bad at all. (I cannot say "good" because I've only watched it, not played it.)

 

Dead Island is a decent zombie game.

 

"It has so many bugs/glitches!" isn't a very solid criticism of a game. For every bug you experience, others played the very same game and experienced no bugs at all. Your bad luck is not the game's fault.

 

Dead Rising (the series) isn't very good.

 

Fable 3 was awful as a Fable game, but the concept of the game's second half could make a great simulation series of its own.

If you're the creative sort, you might try the Custom NPCs mod. Customizable dialogues (optionally with dialogue choices), questlines, AI, weapons, fast travel capabilities, programmable minstrels, customizable models (including size and skin used, with tons of skins already included)...I've been building my very own Bethesda-esque RPG in Minecraft.

mine craft is fun but overrated

 

half life is not that good

 

skyrim was boring due to lack of freedom and it had the worst executions in any game i seen with a bad main quest line

halo 4 wasn't that bad, its not great but its not bad

 

i hate how bows/crossbows are becoming more powerful than bullets

 

shotguns are not powerful enough in most games

KH is wretched and far too overrated, true. Though I'm curious where lack of freedom comes into Skyrim...Pretty big world, can basically go anywhere, do whatever within the confines of the game mechanics...Hell, I've seen some people avoid the main questline entirely and mete out a pretty epic adventure just roleplaying as a farmer. XD
