I went from being Gold IV to Silver IV after placements.

Life is rough bruh.

Exactly why I'm staying away from ranked for a while. I'll let everyone else get back to the rank they belong, then I'll go through Silver again.

If you want to add me I play on the NA server and my summoner name is Dantalia. I mostly play ARAM or Bots but I will play Normals since they've added in the new TeamBuilder. I mostly go AP Ezreal Midlane and I can go anywhere but top lane since it's not my strongest lane. If I have to go top I'll pick Ekko automatically.

Yeah, I've seen my Plat and Diamond friends hit Bronze and low Silver, so it's really gonna be a grind this year. lol.

I really hate this. It's so frustrating being placed so much lower than your actual level of skill having to deal with people who play on an entirely different level.

Well normal Bronze players are just ~kinda~ bad. Low Bronze is like "no hope".

I meant this more as Bronze in a whole normally, in other seasons, and now with Silver-Plat players in Bronze. There have always been people smurfing and Bronze getting stomped anyway. Games in Bronze aren't too different ^^

That is exactly what happened to me last year. Getting back to where you belong is actually really hard because you basically end up 1v5ing every match at queues like mine (S5 Bronze V). I play a lot more like Gold. I used to play like a low Silver (around the time I hit 30).

 

This is why the LP system is total crap.

The "juggernaut meta" is dead. There are still strong ones like Darius and Illoai, but they aren't nearly as rampant. Assassin's have tons of options these days and adding another item for them just isn't necessary.

To be honest, I prefer assassin meta and ~20-30 minute games with snowballing and actual counterplay over ~40-50 minute games against 5k HP tanks who still deal damage like assassins without any counterplay at all.

I agree to some extent. Tanks aren't fun because their kits rarely fit their playstyle correctly. Scaling is too easy for some tanks like Naut and Volibear, who can scale with health and pin down targets far too easily. Tank champions like Illoai are easy to play against out-of-lane, because she has almost no CC, but enough damage to keep her relevant. Honestly, at this point, its just these old uninspired champions that plague the game. Fix scaling on some of these champions, and keep the variety of build paths high for them, and that'll go a long way to keep the juggernaut problem from happening again (this also applies to any other category of champions like assassins).
