Sparity is the most possible. Why? Well, Spike already admitted to having a crush on Rarity while Rarity knows about it. It would be nice to have more Sparity in Season 4.

 

I can also kind of see some of these pairings:

• Spitfire x Soarin' (They work together and seem to hang out quite a lot)
• Soarin' x Rainbow Dash (I can just kind of see a crush between these two)
• Pinkie Pie x Rainbow Dash (The way they act together is a cute little idea)
• Applejack x Rainbow Dash (The competitive attitude towards one another may be hiding a crush)

I don't know, they all seem kind of likely but they would never happen, especially the Appledash and Pinkiedash ships.

I really like some ships, but I know honestly they'll never happen. 

 

Scootabelle because maybe their backstory? I can see Sweetie having a crush on Scoots because she saved her from bullying or something. They do seem awfully close. I can also see some more of the competitiveness, like Scootabloom. (They seem to butt heads like Apple Dash does, making them seem more like the tiny version of Apple Dash.)

I can also see two friends bash eachother, like an anti shipping. (I seen a story in which Scootaloo is caught in the middle between Sweetie Belle, a pony thinking soon that design is more important then farming, and Apple Bloom, which is reverse.

 

I can also see Apple Dash or Pinkie Dash. Flutterpie and Twilight Dash are so cute....I can see Twipie.

I could totally see them working as a couple. Pinkie has shown crush-like behavior towards Dash in several different episodes, and in addition to this, I think they could benefit from each other. Dash can have trouble being herself sometimes, whether it's keeping a brave face or projecting a more cool image, where Pinkie doesn't care so much about appearances and could appreciate her for who she is. At the same time though, Dash can be more serious than Pinkie can and sort of force her to deal with more serious problems, whether between the two of them, or otherwise. They're also probably the only ones who have enough energy and wildness to handle the other

Sombra/Luna? You mean, like, from 1000 years ago as Sombra was becoming corrupt? I have heard the theory that it was Sombra's evilness that helped aid the birth of Nightmare Moon but adding in the possibility of them having a close relationship, particularly a romantic one, is veeeeeery interesting.

 

But yeah, not a back story that is likely to happen. Le sigh.

 

And I don't like shipping any of the mane 6 together either. My reasoning goes beyond the fact that they would be same-sex romantic relationships. While having romance in the show can be a good thing if done right, I do believe that having two of the mane 6 being romantically involved together WOULD tarnish the friendship aspect of the show. Two people who are close do not need to be sexually involved with one another. People who are extremely close friends can STAY extremely close friends without that romantic angle. Our modern society has sexualized like everything... fans of this show will see a romantic relationship hidden in every close relationship and that is just not the way the world REALLY works. But I am glad that kids can watch this show and see that your best friend does not have to be romantic.

 

On another note, I find Fluttershy/Discord to be... amusing. But that ship will definitely never happen in the show and I don't think I could take it seriously anyways. Not unless Discord really is Starswirl the Bearded and he transformed back into him. But funny enough, that ship may also be an example of how close friendship shouldn't constantly turn into romance...

 

Man, this show needs more male characters. It needs more male characters that the mane 6 can become close to without becoming romantic so that girls can learn how to become friends with boys without flirting or feeling like they need a boyfriend.

I would actually really like to see Cheerimac blossom further, but I know that probably won't happen. ^^ Derpy/Doctor would be fantastic, even if its something quiet in the background, like the two of them sitting under a tree together. And DisPie, as I'm sure many of you know, is a personal favorite of mine. xD But again, could never work, although I'd like to see more scenes with the two of them being random.

Yep. I heard that theory too, it's partly what inspired the mini headcanon. Two pictures planted the idea of the two pairings I mentioned.

I am either horrifically unobservant, or I see "crush-type interactions" as something totally different than others...

 

Only one I've ever spotted is Spike/Rarity....which, granted, the show makes painfully obvious....what with Spike's season 2 episode and all.

 

Part of me wants to see that actually happen, and the other part of me likes it how it is. It's a cute little side plot that gets referenced, and it makes for some adorable moments with Spike.

I love TwiDash they're just so cute. After Rainbow Dash started to read she started spending more time w/ Twilight and they find that they have a lot in common.

 

I also like Flutterdash but everyone deep down likes Flutterdash.

 

But we all know their never going to happen in show getting one of the mane 6 into a serious relationship in show just seems to weird to me. That's what shipping is for.

Spike and Sweetie Belle: yes I know that Spike has the hots for Rarity, but that pairing is far more likely to actually work out because Spike and Sweetie Belle are a bit closer in age and they have a lot more in common with each other than Spike and Rarity do.

 

Big Macintosh and Twilight Sparkle: I can't be the only one who thinks Big Mac has a crush on Twilight, Smarty Pants doll anyone? We know from Equstria Girls that Twilight likes men who are strong and confident and Big Mac though he is fairly quiet and Applebloom has said that he is a bit shy does also seem to have a confident side and does seem to be the strong silent type. And it has also been hinted that Big Mac is fairly intelligent with Applejack commenting about he lets "fancy mathematics" muddy up the issues.

 

Applejack and Rainbow Dash: They both have a lot in common but also have quite a few differences which in an interesting sort of way balances the other out.
