I wouldn't consider my friends friends if we couldn't be dicks to each other. This includes the friends that are girls. I treat all my friends the same and they treat me all the same. I think it has to do with how we understand each other's limits and don't cross them.

I've recently fell out with a friend of mine. We haven't spoken in a week or so. Which is long considering i've known him 13 years. 

 

I'd phone him but if I do that he will not change. If he values us being friends, he needs to contact me. Sadly i fear he'll just lose himself and just waste his life away on his games. Maybe this is something that needed to happen sooner. Hard to say.

Last year I was friends with this girl (I'm calling her A.) who was always obsessed with some fictional character every week. 

Link, Falco, Edward Elric, her own arrogant OC, you name it, she had a phase with it at one point.

There was another girl she was friends with (who I'm calling G) who was sarcastic and stoic, but really nice in spite of that. I've always wondered how a nice girl like G ended up with someone as insensitive as A, but it's for personal reasons from what I've gathered.

How exactly was A kind of a jerk? I'd talk about ponies with G and A would go on and on talking about how much my fandom sucked and how great her anime/videogame/OC was. Don't get me wrong, she made great art, and she knew how to make a well-rounded character, (seriously, look at her deviantART..... http://dragonrapt0r.deviantart.com/gallery/....keep in mind she's 14.) but she'd put whatever I enjoyed down until it was practically nothing. There was another occasion where A invited herself over to my house just so she could play videogames without her mother begging her to do something else. She didn't want to see my room or even talk to me; she just wanted to play her goddamn Skylanders.

Sorry for the rant, just a pet peeve of mine. Can't believe I held out with her as long as I did. She's just awfully self-centered.

I lost a friend once, over a girl. He got jealous, and began treating me like garbage. It's a long story, a lot more than that happened, but I did everything I could to try to keep things going between us. In the end, he cut off contact with me, and basically stabbed me in the back over it all. I spent years of my life hanging with the guy, had great times with him, and it all ended over trivialities. Not only that, but he had been spreading shit about me to another of my friends, who also just disappeared on me at one point. Neither talk to me anymore, and I don't understand why, but I won't soon forget their betrayal.

It hurt me a lot to lose not just one, but two close friends. And all because they were stubborn and unforgiving over something that wasn't worth fighting over. In the end, I didn't even get to date the girl he was jealous over, so that really put salt in the wound.

Yes. It's time to leave him behind... It's been time for four or so years now, but I just can't bring myself to do it... Even though after this last time we all went out, he (and his other friends) all made me feel like dirt. Of course, in subtle ways so he can turn around and say "What? We're still great friends!" if I confront him about it. =/

 

There's another guy that has been a complete and total jerk to me... But for entirely different reasons. I think... No, I know... That it was because he was interested in dating me and that was the extent of it. Yet even now, a couple of years later, he still won't completely leave me alone. But I know if I really talked to him again, he'd just become insulting all over again.

After my friend kicked me in the crotch, our friendship wasn't really golden after that. But the best part was, my sister filmed the whole thing.

 

 

That sucker left his copy of Smash Brothers at my house. He never came back for it, even though he saw it in my living room.

I don't have many friends, but the friends that I do have a really understanding.

Sometimes they'll make a quick joke about MLP being gay, but we both know that he is just doing it for a small laugh.

My friends pretty well accept that I like My Little Pony - which is good, they do think it is weird though, which I suppose I can understand at first thought, it might be.

Apart from that, myself and my friends always take the piss out of each other, non stop. The amount of times I've been called a slutty dyke...

Yes, but the REALLY bad ones turned out to never have been my friends in the first place and they were just using me to steal my family's stuf and sold them for drugs.

I feel like they're way too comfortable with dropping little hurtful comments randomly. I also get this feeling I get talked about behind my back a lot, due to the types of people some of these friends are.
