I have a very unusual name. It just throws people off a bit. They have a hard time remembering and pronouncing it properly, and I don't blame anyone. Some people don't process that so well, so then it's awkward and standoffish. Honestly, I mavel at my parents. It's like they assembled my name from some hereditary instruction manual, and never bothered to say it out loud three times fast.

My name is fine! It's relatively common, but not so common that I'm often surrounded by others with my name. The only thing is that people always mishear it as another similar name so I'm always having to spell it.

i feel like i replied to this already but guess i didnt. The anwser is no. I really really hate my first name. And I don't like my last name either because it is very easy to pronounce but these people just don't know how I and E works in grammar anymore. So it is very very annoying going through 3 rounds of telling them how to say it. I go through it to them like they're 3rd graders, its crazy. My first name I dislike because it's too short and it's often an older lady name(like grandma age). So it doesn't suit me at all. I like my middle name the most, I go by it and it suits me. I would definitely use my middle name as first name if I did change my name. Which is the plan in the future. I don't know what middle name I would want to use once I change it. But it gotta go along with my first name. Has to sound right
