I like Rainbow's design a lot.

I used to not really like Rainbow Dash, but lately, she's become a LOT more bearable. Originally she was just WAY too obnoxious and egotistical, and I didn't like her complete dismissal of other's feelings. But she's so much better at being considerate now. She was wonderful in Hurricane Fluttershy, Wonderbolt Academy, and recently in Flight to the Finish.

 

The only two characters of the Mane 6 I really adore are Applejack and Rarity. The rest are just okay. I like it when they're on screen, and they're just pleasant characters. So now that RD has become a much more tolerable pony for me, she's in that group too.

Rainbow's a divisive character in the fandom, and I can see why, but as someone who traditionally loves the 'jerk' in the cast of a series I was always equipped to see past her faults. She's proud in the way an average human would be proud, still able to function in society but with some issues springing from ego. Besides, her style of humor is pretty much right up my alley. She's not my favorite (Rarity too strong) but as someone who's never disliked any of the Mane 6 ever, Rainbow's a cool girl.

She's my least favorite of the Mane 6, but I still love her character. I just don't relate with her as much as I do the others, but she's an awesome character that has shown substantial growth throughout the series, and makes a good role model. Better question is why do many fans dislike her or Rarity? (it's usually one or the other).

Rainbow Dash has my second favorite colour scheme. She is probably my 3rd favorite of the mane 6.

Better question is why do many fans dislike her or Rarity? (it's usually one or the other).

What's sad is that I've met a lot of fans that think that seeing them together(whether it be shipping, in an episode, or in a comic) should be taboo.

 

Kinda makes me want to see them together more often, just to see how much sparks that would cause(that and I want to see my two favorite characters share an episode/comic together)

Personally, the mane 6 are all my favorite, but with Rainbow Dash, I like her b/c of her personality.  Not to mention, some of her personality is equivalent to mine, specifically "Hating to Lose, and rather be on the winning team." Im the same exact thing.  I also like her, b/c she's very upbeat and athletic.
