Clarity just made art so bad it'll make your eyes bleed

So I figured I might as well attempt digital art since I get just oh-so-jealous of people who can actually draw. First did it on muzy.com, some website that I got used to when I was ten, but then transferred it to, what else, Adobe Photoshop. And I just did my best guess on the tools. Did this on my Mac trackpad.

 

I drew Raven Wing, my pegasus OC that's blue and black and a former recolor of Rainbow Dash. Enjoy. Well, you probably won't, but try to.

Anyway, critiques are much appreciated! And I don't know how to do the correct shading thing, so if someone could explain it to me, that'd be awesome.

Doesn't look that bad but the Color could be Contrasted and Brightend a bit so you can distinguish the Mane from the Coat. Still decent for a start.

I think it looks absolutely fine and way better than my current tries at digital ( and traditional ) art. The only thing that makes it seem a bit off is, that her mane is VERY dark and you can therefore hardly see the contours. Other than that: 8/10 holy hotdogs.

It doesn't look that bad, Clarity. The colors do look a bit bad but other than that, I don't think that made my eyes bleed at all, so yeah.

But what do you all mean by "bad colors?" That's sort of the way it should be, because this is... well, her color scheme. So... not sure what you all meant by that.

The colours are really the only thing, it looks like a silhouette with eyes (that might also be partly my computer screen's fault). Overall it's pretty cool, certainly better than anything I've drawn.

I meant that it was hard to see all of her because of how dark the shading was.

Wow, it actually looks really good. I'm impressed Clarity. The details and some features seem be a little fuzzy there, but that's most likely due to the unique kind of style you tried to pull off here, which I like.

 

I really love the way the eyes appear to sparkle here. 

 

So overall, I say well done. This definitely way better than anything I can possibly pull off.

I really love the way you made her eyes sparkle. It's actually not that bad and it goes with her name This definitely DID NOT make my eyes bleed and the way you described it made it sound worse. But truth is, I was pleasantly surprised
