Preachy Bronies

Have you ever come across preachy Bronies? As like Bronies that spam someone messages and sites to watch my My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic to non Bronies, in an attempt to convert (force) them to watch the show? I think this type of Brony brings us the most haters.

Preachy Brony: It will bring you harmony and happiness! Watch the show.

First off, I don't even fathom the level of stupidity of saying something like this. You speak of "harmony", but what you actually speak of is hegemony. (I know us Bronies, aren't really dangerous, but this is still a troubling mind set) Also everyone has their own way of finding happiness.

But I guess doing this sort of thing is like a gold mine for trolling people.

Not everyone is going to like My Little Pony.

I can definitely understand why people could find a preachy brony extremely annoying. You shouldn't try to force people to watch a show and especially not with such crude methods.I'm all for showing others why we like this show and getting new people involved with the fandom ,don't misunderstand me, but this isn't the way to do that. This just makes us look weird and stupid in the eyes of others. To be honest I never really encountered anyone who did this though.

I have never met a preachy brony, but I do think what they are doing is not needed. It's okay to like being a brony, but it's another thing to preach it to other people. Not everyone cares. Don't bother them with something they don't care about. It annoys them and gives us bad rep.

While I don't know a preachy Brony personally (to the best of my knowledge), I have seen some examples of their behavior.  I find it annoying, for instance, when they spam the comments on Youtube videos, tumblrs, and other online content that has the most specious correlation to MLP.  I think they feel awkward for liking MLP and they think they'll feel less awkward if they can somehow make their peers enjoy it too.

It's like they say...never talk about politics, religion, or my little pony...

but on a serious note...I've never met a preachy brony either...but I know they exist...I think we all need to remember

that while this is one of the best shows of our time (In our opinions) it's still just a show, and everyone has the right to their opinion...

I see stuff like this the worst on youtube comments...lets go back to love and tolerate eh?

Sadly they exist, and will exist. Its the same for any fandom, religion, or major group.

My father actually complains about the "in your face" homosexuals. He doesn't actually mind or care about them, but the select few preachy ones are a pain in everyones ass. And they do NOT further their agenda in doing these things, they merely serve to create more hate toward their group.

Same for vegans, vegetarians, political parties, sports team fans, etc....

tis a shame, but some people just feel the need to excessively "share" their interest....

They're the WBC of the groups.. except far less controversial :P

I have never come across a preachy brony at all. It's pretty obvious that anything that's being preached or shoved down people's throats is annoying. Just look at Jehovah's Witnesses. I don't understand why you should promote something you like so much, up until the point it becomes really annoying. Sure, mentioning the show is just one thing, but never shutting your mouth about it? That's going too far.

For me it is a toss of between the preachy ones and the ones that put the show on a pedestal by trying to impose arbitrary standards of what a brony should be like anti cloppers for example as to which bronies are the most annoying. Despite my annoyances with them though I may occasionally criticize it I don't let it bother me too much because I have enough negative and depressing stuff going on in my personal life to focus on the negative and depressing stuff going on among some of the fans of a show and community that makes me happy.

Okay, preaching bronies is something that we do not need. When you excessively mention or preach about something too much that no one wants to hear, it really gets annoying from start to finish. I'm glad that I didn't encounter any because, they find a lot of ways to annoyingly force someone to watch a show.

We must spread the words of the goddess empress of ponykind!

No but in all seriousness i think that doing that create lots of hate... i mean i try to get my brother to see the light but he's my brother and he will soon watch mlp fim, but when im online on whatever site i happen to be on, I dont try to convert people. I only tell my friends and brothers to watch it but i dont go OMG WATCH IT NOW, i kinda go like: This is a good show you should check it out.. I only tell the people i know would appreciate it (again, that includes close friends and my brothers)

doing stuff like this just produces haters... same goes for " preachy " anything :P like how im a christian, and theres athiests that try to dump there beliefs on me ( same goes the other way )... let people be free to like what they like. i managed to convert someone to " join the heard " but it sure as hell wasnt done by spamming and such. he saw me wearing a MLP hoodie. asked me about the fandom, i told him, he watched vids on his own... next thing i know theres a screen saver on his phone of the main six.lol.

Eeyup. Them preachy bronies are the reason I didn't join the fandom earlier. I was appalled by how hard they tried and how desperate they were.

No, I know a lot of bronies and I wouldn't consider any of them preachy. Hmmm, a preachy brony. Just the whole concept sounds like It'd be annoying as hell. Then again, preachy anything is usually annoying, due to the person shoving said topic down someone else's throat, or forcefully trying to get them to join some sort of fandom/opinion group.

I don't know any preachy bronies, and I usually never bring up the topic when I'm talking with my non brony friends.  The only preachy bronies I really see are in the comments section on YouTube.  Shoving My Little Pony down somebody's throat probably won't convince them to watch an episode or two, they'll just think you're insane and annoying.  It's best just to let people discover it for themselves.

"LOVE AND TOLERATE OR DIE, MOTHERF***ER!!"

Yeah, it gets old fast; especially when they become so disacknowledging of other fan cultures, for video games / TV shows. You may not see them much, but they're there.

I can understand that after finding the show people can get into it and want to share the happiness they get from the show, but they fail to realize not everyone will like the show.

As far as me coming across it.. I can't really say i have, or maybe i have and my memories being sketchy idk.

lol that whole concept reminds me of the console wars, CoD vs BF, etc....

oye...

they all have their ups and downs IMO, but like this fandom, neither is truly "better" than any other.
