Headphones - should I get Rainbow Dash or Vinyl Scratch?

O.K., so here are a couple pairs of headphones I saw and I need help choosing which one. I'm leaning towards the RD ones, but the VS ones are cool, too. I think the VS ones are custom made by someone else, but I need advice!

I could make my own but I don't know how...

It kinda depends on how pony you want your headphones to be.

 

The first ones are very obviously pony. If you don't like people knowing that you're a brony, it's best to go for the second pair. Those are a little more subtle.

The Rainbow Dash ones look so much better and they look like official merchandise. The Vinyl Scratch ones just look like someone has bought some cheap spray paint and used a stencil to spray the image on.

 

TL;DR The Rainbow Dash ones are so much nicer.

When coming to any sort of headphones I buy, sound quality is always one of the deciding factors. Look at the reviews and see which one people rate as having better sound. One way or another, they earphones will be ponified, so you shouldn't worry too much on that end.

 

Point being, even though they look nice, you don't want to get a bad sounding pair of headphones. It isn't worth it in the long run.

If you want a good pair of headphones then these are possibly the best you can buy for under $100 and they're also what Ryan Seacrest uses on his show as monitoring headphones for his musical guests (:

For style, I would say the Vinyl Scratch ones, but quality and price should be the deciding factors. The Rainbow Dash ones are very...bold, personally, I would want the Vinyl Scratch, just because it is a simple design. I don't know anything about your taste, so all I can tell you is my opinion. Either way, value is the main point, how much bang for your buck. Do the research.

I like the Vinyl Scratch design more, but if it's just a custom design on normal headphones then you should find out what kind of headphones they started out as and compare reviews. The RD ones look like they could be official merchandise, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the hardware is better. They do look like they might fold up for travel convenience, if that's your thing.

 

Also, if you were willing to spend a pretty significant price (the ones here look fairly cheap) V-Moda sells some really durable and still well-regarded for audio quality headphones with custom designs on the ear cups. $200-300 may be a bit much though, and if you have large ears I can say from experience that the lower-end options won't fit.

Vinyl Scratch for two reasons.

 

 

1. They look a lot more subtly stylish, and are not obvious. They won't make all the gang kids think you're gay, but bronies will notice it.

 

2. So you can listen to this in style.

The Rainbow Dash ones look more better and official. The Vinyl ones are okay. I really love Vinyl Scratch and I would choose them over Rainbow, but it needs to be made better than the headphones shown. 

 

So I'd go with the Rainbow Dash ones. :3

The Rainbow Dash ones are better in my opinion because the don't look as cheap as the Vinyl Scratch ones and are probably better quality as well.

Eventhough I like Vinyl Scratch better than Rainbow Dash I choose the Rainbow Dash one since it looks better.  I like a lot of bright colors but if you can't decide and the price isn't too expensive then why not get both?

Hmmm... The RD ones match your colorful personality, but the VS ones have a smoother design. I personaly would do the RD ones, since Dash. Is. AWESOME! But I really don't know what you would want! Sorry I wasn't more help
