You favourite Non vocal music

Midnight Seeker

Recommended Posts

Okay, I was listening to some Youtube top tens (This one started me off

) and it got me thinking of my own favourite tunes. Not just in video games, but also in movies and other media. I noticed that we have had other favourite lists in the past, but I do not know of one where we list our favourite music without vocals.

Well, If I may start us off

Phenomena (also known as Creepers) is one of my favourite horror movies and like all the best Dario Argento films is scored by the band Goblin. This video is the first three tracks of the album, but Track One (Phenomena (4:26)) is what stays with me.

Overall favorite non-vocal song goes straight towards any of "Your Hand In Mine's" music. Their music kind of sounds like everyday background music in all sorts of media....here's an example song from them:

I haven't heard all of their songs, so they're might be some exceptions to the "Sound like background music" rule.

Video Game-wise, this is possibly my favorite:

I adore the way the song changes tone seemingly out of nowhere.

I love a lot of Dubstep and Drum & Bass artists, so most of those songs are my favorites. But here's another amazing piece of music I like:

I really love tons of non vocal music, whether it be orchestral or electronic or percussions.

Here is a particular video game song that I absolutely love and it is basically all organs. It is quite beautiful.

Then there is the instrumental of one of my favorite songs ever, Ghost love Score.

I think vocal-less music is under appreciated, very much so.

I like pretty much all of the music by Kevin Macleod, plus:

Chiptune music

Classical

And I also like the Halo 4 soundtrack, can't remember why I have it but it's there.

Anything from Aviator's Aeterno album. Just for the fact that it sounds completely cool, no matter what the track. Except for The Path Home, as it had vocals.

What if I told you... I never listen to vocal music anyway.

So here, I'll share a particular album that's been on my mind today. It was considered ahead of its time when it came out, and probably rightfully so, as the electronic aspects of the album are not up to par with what could be done if the album was created today. Still, it's a brilliant album jam-packed with some great jazz! Some of it happens to sound like video game soundtracks, which is rather unexpected and cool!

As far as instrumental music goes, the OSTs for Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo are my definite favourites. These are just a few of my favourites.

(Bump I know)

My favourite instrumental piece would probably be from Aphex Twins ambient works.

OR

The Private Psychedelic Reel by The Chemical Brothers.

Without a doubt my favorite non-vocal song.

Jinxx is great on the violin.

Now, since BVB only had one song that was non-vocal, I'll throw in Lindsey Stirling as my favorite non-vocal artist.

I am in love with EDM music. It's unbelievable how much emotion some tracks can contain. I used to actually dislike it, but after I listened to it more, I really started to see it. Anyways, one of my favourites:

Oh, that's easy! Most of my favorite music is purely instrumental. If I had to choose my favorite though, I think I would choose Redline Tango by John Mackey.

I also really like To Tame the Perilous Skies by David Holsinger. My school band played it last year and it was amazing!
