Banishment to the Moon or the Sun

I've been wonder this for awhile now as to what happens to a pony if they were banished to the moon or Sun themselves.

I can understand that if Luna or Celestia was banished/trapped in their own respective celestial places but what about other ponies or other creatures if their banish to it.

Just Curious.

Well, ponies can'y breathe in space, so i'd imagine they'd die from either lack of air, or just, y'know, getting burnt to death.

...though, now that I think about it, maybe ponies CAN BREATHE IN SPACE!

in the comics the actually walk on a rope to the moon and walk about on it, without choking. There moon must have an atmosphere of its own... that, or there like sonic who can survive in space for no good reason.

One answer: MAGIC.

But I'm not convinced a pony can be banished to the moon or sun. It could be that Luna, as Nightmare Moon, was banished there by the Elements because of her connection to it.

Well, Luna was banished to the moon by her sister because she ignored her orders. I don't think that anypony would be banished to the moon, unless they try to perform a major revolt or something.

Most likely than can breathe in space because the writers feel like they should be able to. It's a fantasy world after all so why not? I am a bit concerned about banishment to the sun though. Seems to be a bit more intense than the former.

Or it could be perhaps that we are talking about Princess Luna here, who is immortal, not to mention the fact that she already had a deep connection to the moon. For all we know, the Celestial Sisters might just be powerful spirits who are bound forever by duty to make sure the natural cycle of day and night is maintained. For some reason, I think that their direct dealings with Equestria are only temporary, until they establish a permanent ruler in Twilight Sparkle.

But back on topic. We need to make note of the fact that Luna is different from everypony else. She might be the exception, rather than the rule.

I think that, for the sun, it's more of being sealed into the sun, not actually being ON the surface.

Or maybe there's a certain spot on there that's protected from the sun's fire and sh*t.

Ahh....I have this little headcanon that there's a little town on the sun where people who've been sent there live.

It's fully populated by very bad people though, and its lawless anarchy there.

Kind of looks like a stereotypical western town, but somehow worse.

Yeah, I'm stupid.

But in the comics (Hasbro has said they are 100 percent canon), they go to the moon, and it has a breathable atmosphere

There's even a castle-looking place.

Why would there be a difference?
