How does Rarity spend her money?

me and a few others have been wondering how does rarity spend her money i mean she has her own shop and apparently her own tea make, so im sure she is loaded on bits but how does she spend it

Since we were talking about this earlier i've been thinking, she makes some sort of profit off her clothing line and uses that to get ore stock for the boutique. The bits she makes off her tea could be used when she goes shopping for other things she lusts for.

She probably can't find enough to meet her demand on her own. She needs to pay for more. Also, she finds them, but she is a lady. She probably usually pays other ponies to dig them up for her.

She spends her money on her dresses, supplies for her dresses, and for other things that she would be interested in. That's probably what Rarity spends her money on.

Either way, she needs to have the diamonds cut and refined. Also, she probably needs to buy silk and other expensive materials for her dresses.

Which brings me to why I hate Rarity, she's too damn weak. (Sorry to all Rarity Lovers but I had to say it..)

Can't really do anything on her own.. way too much of a drama queen, way in over her head, over reacts... you know the many details about her.

Getting all of those gems on her own, refining them, and making them into dresses with a short deadline? Impossible. Division of labor is necessary and as a business owner, one must sometimes pay for others to do various duties. Also, all of those "self-made men" you mention got to where they did by stealing credit for other people's work >.> (less Gates than Jobs)

well thats the way her character was designed to be and every character has their flaws. and this was a thread about how she spends her money not why she doesn't dig or get down and dirty. and there are plenty of times rarity does things for others such as make dresses and hide in the mud to race with her sister and also mess up her mane just to keep pinkie pie's party a secret

For the record, not all Billionaires/Millionaires got their money from mommy and daddy, some actually worked real hard to get to where the are at now.

Her talent is both gems and fashion. She strove to be a fashionista ever since she was little, and finding the gems was the last step. When told her costumes were nice, she replied, "Nice? They need to be spectacular!" Merging gems with her fashion designs, she achieved "spectacular" and found her place in life.

Just use this as future reference. If you're around nothing but fans of something (or pony, for this matter) and you talk about how much you hate it, it isn't going to go over very well. I mean, it's all good now, but it was a pretty stupid idea.

Right now im just one of the unhappiest person on earth. My mentalness isnt in check like it should, its totally messing me up badly... But again, thats no excuse.

 

Im not in depression, im way past that stage but, sometimes these things will occur and it affects me and others around me which makes me more unhappy, i say crap that is negative and it goes even further...

My reasoning is horrible.

My life at this moment in time is an absolute crisis. Not like in the most horrible way possible.. But still kinda bad..

I think a lot of it would go into improving the Boutique, like getting more supplies, etc. Also, her weekly spa trips with Fluttershy would probably take a bit of money. I'd assume she spends a lot of money eating out, as well.

I always thought her talent was finding and revealing the hidden beauty in things. Gems from the ground, beautiful dresses from raw materials, etc. As for what she does with her money... she gives it to charities on the sly. She is the Element of Generosity, after all. "A lady does what she can for others less fabulous than herself."  Well, that's my guess, at any rate.

I assume a good chunk goes back into her business. Sure, she goes out and digs up gems with Slike, but fine fabrics like gold lines silks probably don't come cheap, especially when they're hoof stitched as implied (and when oh have to make more because your little sis thinks its a good idea to make capes out of them for herself and her friends ).

Wow it's like someone brought all the rarity fans to one thread. But her talent is diamond finding so she needs to get them cut but maybe she spends it on food and event none of the ponies seem like they have an excessive amount if possessions
