Traveller saw the pony and nodded. He crawled through the grass to a position left of the target. He readied his shield and inches towards the cabin. The grass was tall around all sides except for the front, which gave the two attacking ponies an advantage. Traveller slumped against the cabins foundation quietly as he waited for Synapse to make the first move. He took out his sword and prepared for an attack.

Synapse followed Silnis and his three bodyguards, using the tall grass as cover. They were moving slowly, casually talking with one another about some random thing she didn't know about. While she did know they were NPC enemies, the system made them so...lifelike. It was hard to imagine that they were just the part of a computer program. Noticing Traveler hide again the foundation, she signaled a wave towards an idling enemy.

She executed the kill, landing the axe right into the guard's shoulder before covering his mouth to suppress the noise. The enemy shattered into nothingness. Killing enemies in one shot was something that was extremely beneficial to being stealth-classed; silent kills were one-shot to NPCs. Her hiding skill could be used on players as well, but it will only count the stealth hit as a critical hit, doing approximately three times the normal damage intended, meaning it won't necessarily kill the target. She didn't want to intend to kill players, anyway; Synapse didn't want to use a game as a reason to kill someone.

The small message popped up in front of her – it was the usual EXP and Col gain, but significantly more transparent and dark. Synapse closed it, and continued sneaking and following the group. Going more inward into the camp, she stopped when she saw the number of guards patrolling the area. Eight of them. She needed a distraction. Producing a Needle Dart she had automatically acquired by learning the Blade Throwing skill, she aimed it at the stack of swords. It hit the edge of a sword, making an audible clink sound. Successfully, two of the guards came towards the armory tent, and Synapse used this chance to race behind one of the tents, using the dark as her cover.

She then identified where her target was now, after losing track of him temporarily while dealing with the two patrolling guards. Silnis was now entering the cabin, and now his bodyguards disbanded with him and were moving towards the guard-towers. One remained in front of the cabin door. It was now impossible to get in without an actual diversion..and she knew the pony that was the ideal one. Synapse beckoned to Traveler, whispering, "I need you to run. Run as quickly as possible, out of here. I'll finish off Silnis and complete our quest, then we'll catch up. Don't look back."

Traveller saw her give a small wave. He plunged forward at the nearest guard, covering his mouth as the sword went through his stomach. The body fell limp to the ground as Traveller held it. He let the body down with a small 'think' and went back to his spot. He heard Synapse whisper over his shoulder. 'Uh, sure.' He said before darting off, attracting the attention of two guard towers and the pony at the door.

They targeted him as he ran. 'This better be worth it...' He mumbled as he tried to lose the guards. One came up behind him and yelled to stop. He looked over his shoulder to see the guard before tripping over a root. Getting back to his feet he decided that it would be better to fight anyway.

The guard took the first swing. Traveller ducked and swung back, missing the guard only slightly. He cursed under his breath as the guards weapon clinger against his shield. The guard swung for the third time and Traveller saw and opening. Raising his sheiks, he swiped the guard across where two armor plates met. The guard staggered back before Traveller landed the final blow. Normal gain and luckily some bread. He snapped back to the fact that guard towers had watched the whole thing. The ponies were probably coming now. He sighed and kept running.

The Goblins gave a loud shriek when they spotted Zephyr. Zephyr had not faced one of these before so he didn't know what to expect. He assumed that they were like other MMO games he played. In the sense that they were quick, but relatively low on attack and defense. That however wasn't his biggest concern. He had to finish this battle soon and pray to Celestia that the other ponies didn't hear anything.

He looked over the two disgusting goblins in front of him. Both were a pale green with long pointed ears. they had scraps of cloth around their torso, and some beat up boots. One Goblin had a hatchet that appeared to made out of a stick, some string, and a carved hip bone of some creature. The other one had a very rusted dagger. Zephyr was well aware of the minimal post he had to work with, so he dropped his lance to the floor and reached for his dagger.

The goblin with the hatchet attacked first. He had quite the amazing jump that it startled Zephyr for a moment, but like he figured, the goblin was clumsy, as he exposed his belly. Zephyr quickly step to the side to avoid the attack, then plunged his dagger deep into the belly of the goblin. It gave a loud shriek and dissipated in a explosion of polygons.

The other goblin was quick to act, he rapidly closed the distance by bounding off the walls and was on top of Zephyr in moments. The goblin slashed at Zephyr in a upward arc, Zephyr attempted at blocking, but the goblin switched directions at the last second and caught Zephyr right across the nose. He bounded back laughing.

Zephyr charged the goblin to see if he could catch it before it would move, but the goblin simple jumped onto the wall on Zephyr's right, and bounced behind Zephyr giving him another slash in the flank. All the while mocking Zephyr with his laughter. "Curses!" Shouted Zephyr "He's making me look like a colt! If only I could..." Then a idea came to his head. He put his head down again and charged the goblin.

The goblin tilt his head and got into position to jump again. "Bingo, I got you now you little nymph!" Zephyr shouted. Right as the goblin was leaping over Zephyr, he raised his wing and caught the goblin like a mitt catches a baseball and flung the goblin to the ground. Pinning him by Zephyr's hooves, he dealt the finishing blow across the goblin's neck.

The 'Victory' screen appeared displaying the col and the exp, but Zephyr had little time to rejoice, as he could hear the hoof beats of the other ponies closing in on him. He knew that they were too close and this time he wouldn't get away cleanly. He grabbed his lance off of the floor and bolted down the adjacent hall way. He just barely made it back into the room with the chest when three ponies appeared in front of the door. Zephyr had to come up with a plan and fast!

Traveler did as she followed, and made a run for the exit. As planned, some of the guards, including the one on the front door of the cabin, chased him, and thankfully, the alarm wasn't triggered, and Synapse was safe. Now to eliminate their target.

She snuck into the unguarded cabin door, slowly opening it to allow a small slit to see through. Their target, Silnis, was still inside, idly sharpening his sword, his body away from her. Sneaking in would be impossible; she needed to lure him out.

Synapse kicked the door open, allowing it to swing and slam the opposite side of the wall. She peeked inward, seeing Silnis look around. Soon, he stood up, drawing his sword and checking every corner. Synapse took out her axe, ready to execute the enemy at any time.

When Silnis moved outward, Synapse threw her axe at him. It did not kill him, but left him in surprise and somewhat damaged. Without wording, they both got into open combat.

...Not quite. Synapse went into hiding again, using the darkness to her advantage. Silnis was now moving around, swinging his sword aimlessly. She ran around the cabin, and charged at him, tackling him to the ground. Fighting ensued, but Synapse, already pinning the target down and therefore having the advantage, hit him again with the back of the axe's wooden handle. Synapse had little time for to have mercy, especially to a NPC, and executed him without remorse.

The EXP gained from him was small. The quest was meant for at least Lvl 4s. And sneaking around had benefitted her to increasing her reward gain. Traveler, on the other hand, was most likely going to get less Col for being detected beforehand, but she needed assistance. Besides, Traveler was lower leveled, so he should not be having that much loot compared to her. If anything, Synapse had helped him.

Speaking of Traveler..."The guards!" Synapse remembered, sprinting downhill to catch up to the group that was chasing him. He certainly won't survive by fighting them, but if he could get out of their "aggro" range - a gaming term she had learned, which meant the limited range of the NPC enemies aggressive state - he could safely dash towards the closest town.

Synapse eventually found Traveler by his green marker due to both being in the same party, and threw darts at the guards to divert their aggression towards her. She made a «Horizontal» slash to damage almost all the guards and take their attention to her, and when they did, Synapse dashed off towards the opposite direction, while proceeding towards Hollow Shades, where they had to return their quest.

"Traveler, use your teleportation crystal! Get out of their sight!" Synapse shouted to Traveler, fending off the guards as they were away from Traveler's focus. "Finish your quest, I will catch up later!"

"Well well well... What do we have here?" A brown coat earth pony sneered at Zephyr. "Looks like we have a mouse on our hooves!" replied a dirty looking dark red earth pony. He hoisted a scimitar onto his shoulder. "Ya, YA! Do you think he has the cheese?!" stated a very hyper yellow Pegasus. The earth pony reached over and smacked the Pegasus in the back of the head spending him sprawling onto the ground. "Shut your trap!" demanded the earth pony. The Pegasus got back onto his hooves and continued to bounce around.

While the chaos proceeded, Zephyr took a moment to scan his foes. They didn't have any sneak skills so he could read everything off them. The brown earth pony appropriately named "Dirt" appeared to be the leader of the group. Though he was level 4 he had some good gear, most likely the loot off of other ponies. The red pony's name was "Plasma" and he was level 3. He seemed to have the highest overall sword skill, no doubt the brawn of the group. The last jittery Pegasus was "Twitch" with the level of 2. He didn't seem to have any fighting skills but rather focused on tracking and trapping skills.

Zephyr knew that he out leveled them, however with no means of escape, a 3v1 is going to be a very difficult fight. He had to make every move count. Dirt slowly walked towards Zephyr with his 2H sword pointed at him. "You know, that was a nasty trick luring us to those goblins. And I take that personal." Zephyr's mind was racing, he knew that up close, Dirt had the upper hoof. If only he could... Yes! Zephyr had a plan! It was a long shot, but he had to try. Dirt continued, "Well you have one of two options... Give us your gear, and we might let you live. Or die." Zephyr watched the distance between them. He would have one shot at this, and there it is!

((Alright! Let's get this show back on the road!))

Traveller nodded. He fumbled in his inventory as he attempted to find one. There. He had one! He was unsure how he never noticed. He slipped it out and looked it over. It was a blue box, and it was fairly small. Snapping back to his quest, he activated it. Minutes later, he was in Hollow Shades.

Travelled ran out to the edge of town, waiting for his friend. He didn't see her yet, and he began to think about what had happened. She went towards Hollow Shades with the guards following her. She should be here! He sighed and sat down as he waited for her to enter.

Synapse made a dash for Hollow Shades. Unfortunately, she did not possess a crystal herself, and was left alone to deal with the group. She assessed the situation, and suddenly made a sharp turn to cut through the group, and ran around in the opposite direction, into the forest, continuing the chase.

Synapse did not know how long can she keep this up. Eventually, her stamina will deplete completely, and she would be stuck with fighting them off. She was unsure if she could manage that in such a long span, but it was her only choice if she could not throw them off. She only hoped that she's still alive after all this.

Meanwhile, a stallion not far away was exploring the forestland. Cutaway was a bit bored from idling around Cedarwood, and wanted to farm some monsters to grind his level. The front-liners are already in the tower, he thought. I got to catch up if I want to get into the frontlines.

Suddenly, Cutaway heard the sound of a pony panting and running. It was distinguishable due to his hearing skills; it was definitely a player. He paused temporarily to properly locate where the sound was from, turning around, left and right, to find it. Then, almost if he had some kind of uncanny powers, Cutaway ran in a random direction. I just hope whoever this pony is, he or she's fine...

Zephyr knew that these ponies had no intention of letting him leave there alive. Nor would he make it out of the dungeon without his gear. He knew he had to fight. Dirt a begun his circle around the chest when Zephyr leapt forward and quickly opened it causing the trap to spring. A large ax swung down and caught Dirt right in the middle of his ribs. The force knocked the wind out of him as he was flung against the wall. Just as he thought, Twitch's Icon changed from green to yellow. The other two were standing dumbstruck which gave Zephyr his chance. Using his long reach, he stuck Plasma in the side and pushed him against the other wall, which jarred him just enough for Zephyr to make a dash out. Twitch recovered from shock just in time to see Zephyr spread his wings and leap over him. Without checking Zephyr once again bolted down the hall way.

Frustrated roars began from behind him as he galloped down the halls. His lungs were burning, and his calves ached, but he ran on. He could hear the hot pursuit of the three behind him, but he knew even with them weaken, there still would be danger in fighting them. He didn't want to kill, but he knew that's what it would come to if they caught up. He turned a corner to a long hallway and as he raced down, he noticed a trap icon on the floor. Taking the risk he ran to it and pressed it, hoping that he didn't just seal his fate. Immediately a stone pillar appeared behind him that shot up to the ceiling. Several more appeared before him that were more slow, but he knew what they were trying to do. They were going to box him in alive. Zephyr leapt from one pillar to the next, as they continue their climb up. Slowly the gaps were closing. Zephyr with one final leap, cleared the last one, and the pillar finished with a loud boom.

Zephyr sat against the pillar panting for breath. "You think that you're so smart, but we will get to you and I will personally wring your throat!" A muffled taunt from Dirt called. Zephyr once again checked his map, and now he was ever further from the entrance. "Will I ever be able to find the way back?" He wondered. After a few more minuets, he got up and began to walk again.

Finally after finishing the quest with the poachers Terra had finally started to figure out things. He suspected that some variables in the game were hampering his efforts to increase his skills. Maybe it was however that he didn't have time to use them up until now... because as a knight he was trained in all sorts of things beyond simply fighting and exercises. Never however in his time would he ever think that he'd become a survivalist of sorts. It was strange for him to act like he was out in the jungle... and this was what he was... whether he liked it or not, be it in one of the cities or in the forest he still had to act like if he was alone in the jungle and he was pissed at that. Finally he had the appropriate resources to enter the dungeon once more. There were enough players there that were gathering... it wasn't long before ponies started fighting between each other for mobs, equipment and other stuff. This he saw a group particularly hunting one pony and yelled at them.

@"HEY YOU! STEALING OF ANY FORM IS ILLEGAL! SURRENDER THE GOODS YOU STOLE LEST I BRING THE MIGHT OF THE ROYAL GUARD UPON YOU!"
