The five stars represent the elements... wind, fire, water, etc. and the centre area is the Earth Goddess bringing them together in harmony.  A pentacle is feminine, with the lone point upright, and a pentagram is masculine, with the lone point facing down (the two point's upright then represent horns).  Christians will have you believe the symbol to be Satanic, but it really has NOTHING to do with Christianity whatsoever... Anyways; this is not a religious discussion so I'll go back to pony talk... Just wanted to try and clear up some confusion and spread some knowledge.
