Serbon div 386 January 2, 2014 Share January 2, 2014 Nope you don't need it I don't need it nobody needs it. I don't celebrate birthdays since I was 10, it's just for little kids!
Fluttershyfan94 5,749 January 2, 2014 Share January 2, 2014 Don't see why not, considering there are so few good things in life I don't see why we shouldn't at least try to have one good day. Even though I've never really felt like it's anything to celebrate but having a twin sister it's not really my call I have never really wanted to celebrate it but do it because of her. So yeah I think they should be celebrated, because why not. 1 DA: http://fluttershyfan94.deviantart.com/ Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/Fluttershyfan94

Rainboom Dash 1,057 January 3, 2014 Share January 3, 2014 I believe birthdays should be celebrated. They celebrate the reaching of another year of your life and that's something that deserves to be recognized.

Wayzer 1,418 January 5, 2014 Share January 5, 2014 Of course they should. I think it's a good thing to remeber that it's quite a gift to be alive. duidamasterXD 9,627 January 5, 2014 Share January 5, 2014 How else would I get presents I actually feel more and more uncomfortable on my birthday in recent years, just because it doesn't feel as special and I don't like feeling like a bother, but it's still a great time to spend with family and loved ones. There's nothing wrong with taking a day out to celebrate having someone in your life or letting them do the same to you, in my eyes.

Dreambiscuit 12,406 May 3, 2019 Share May 3, 2019 I definitely recommend celebrating birthdays. It doesn’t matter how significant the occasion is, and to many people birthdays are no big deal, but having an occasion for a bit of revelry is a good thing. People need a little something to break up the monotony in life.
EpicEnergy 23,256 December 22, 2019 Share December 22, 2019 I think birthdays should be celebrated because they make the person feel important and appreciated and to celebrate them turning a new age. *totally not up to any shenanigans*
Splashee 28,603 December 22, 2019 Share December 22, 2019 It is very important to keep count or score about things (like post count for example). I say the same apply to your life counter. That life counter is expressed in number of years since birth. I think it is awesome to celebrate that!
Early Sunsets 2,112 December 22, 2019 Share December 22, 2019 I don't really see a point. It's just another day for me. applesjck 5,606 December 22, 2019 Share December 22, 2019 If birthdays weren't celebrated then we wouldn't get presents No, but really! I feel like I'm on cloud nine when it's my birthday, and I'm sure many others feel the same. A lot of people feel important and loved on their birthday, and I think that's pretty awesome. I think birthday's should definitely be celebrated! 2 Lover of all things Applejack. <
ShadOBabe 19,060 December 23, 2019 Share December 23, 2019 Of course Birthdays should be celebrated! It’s the day you, a completely unique individual, came into the world, and a reminder that you managed to not get yourself killed for another whole year! Derpy Pon-3 5,652 December 23, 2019 Share December 23, 2019 Of course you should celebrate birthdays, whether with a big party, with your family, or on your own, birthdays are awesome. 1 What is life? Is it nothing more than the endless search for a cutie mark? and what is a cutie mark but a constant reminder that we're all only one bugbear attack away from oblivion? And what of the poor hooman? Troblems 5,623 December 23, 2019 Share December 23, 2019 I almost bled to death in my early 20s. It didn’t look like I was going to make it for a while, and it took some serious rehabilitation to get me back to a functional level where I can walk without an sort of mobility aid. I’m grateful for every day I’m alive, and while I’m not much for being the center of attention, I know the people that love me also want to celebrate my life on the day I was born, and I’m okay with that. Rainbow Cloud 19,498 December 23, 2019 Share December 23, 2019 Yes, I think it's a good thing to celebrate milestones and markers throughout our lives on over the course of the year, it helps to make some sort of order out of the chaos and things would be pretty dull if we didn't. Here No Longer 5,290 December 23, 2019 Share December 23, 2019 I mean apparently it depended on who's birthday it was. My birthday would go uncelebrated almost every year while my older brother would get a party most years even into high school. But that's because I'm an introverted, selectively mute loner anyways. Not that I see a problem with it, but that was likely why my birthdays almost always came and went unceremoniously. I honestly don't care if anyone wants to celebrate their birthday or not, it's not on me to tell them what to and not to celebrate. Though personally I would say that it probably would be better to do so than not, especially in the family unit. Going to that restaurant or having that party is a great excuse to bring everyone a little closer together.

Kyoshi Frost Wolf 42,208 December 24, 2019 Share December 24, 2019 If others want to, I say go all out. In my case, there isn't a point. My birthday has become entirely meaningless over the years and this year was the epitome of that. At this point I'd rather not bother with it because all it does is make me hopeful that it will turn out alright when it very likely will not. Redeem me into childhood. Show me myself without a shell.
Tacodidra 61,956 December 24, 2019 Share December 24, 2019 Do as you feel. If you want to celebrate your birthday, do so – if you don't want to, don't. I've always celebrated it at least in some manner, but I don't find it as significant as I used to anymore – a year for a young adult isn't really the eternity it feels like for a little kid 3 Signature by @Sparklefan1234
