2 characters who got insane fan reactions in the day following their debut. But who got the most attention? Who got the bigger reaction the day they first appeared?

Chrysalis, at least where I at the time. An awesome looking villain suddenly popped up in what a bunch of people thought was just going to be some lame wedding episode and knocked out Celestia. It was definitely one of the biggest surprises we've gotten in an episode, and the internet exploded with content afterward.

Chrysalis. Flutterbat was big, but chrysalis was unexpected all the way and was also really cool, seeing as she beat the sun godis.

I wouldn't really know, because I wasn't involved too much in the fandom around the end of season two. I didn't even realise the show was on every Saturday until my cousin invited me to watch it with her. It was the break between season two and three that I became more involved, and even more so between three and four. ... Wow, season two seems so long ago..

Personally, I was not expecting FlutterBat at all! I didn't see it coming — and I'm usually on the ball with the upcoming episodes. It was probably because I was engulfed in Sims 3 for a few days... It's amazing what a day or two without internet can cause you to miss!

I would say Chrysalis, given that it was the season finale. There was already hype and anticipation from the wedding, and then there was the buildup from the beginning of the two parter of the mystery behind "Evil Cadence". And then when she was revealed, her appearance caught everyone off guard.

Without a doubt, Chrysalis.

  1. While Flutterbat was a clever twist in a mid-Season-4 episode, Chrysalis appeared in the Season 2 finale, when there was a ton of hype and thousands of people (on The Hub and in streams) watching.
  2. Chrysalis has an extremely badass design with a great personality within a great twist. Her appearance surprised everyone, and you were given no clues in any of the previews. Besides Discord, she's the most popular villain with a huge following to this day.

Flutterbat (and eventual incarnations) will likely have a mainstay in the future, as EQD had a drawfriend exclusively for her, but Chrysalis has strong staying power that will likely never waver.

I have to side with Chrysalis if she came

back would get the most watchers and also

she has a huuuge fan base in the mlp world(s).

They left a huugeee hole in which she could

also just  come back in the story line

as things are going after getting kicked out

of the wedding and Canterlot and thing i did

note: She is the Only Queen we have seen

at all in the whole seasons.

Flutterbat is cute and such and has

a good start to fandom but it was not

like she was a evil bad ass like Chrysalis

is and such.

Chrysalis definitely because, her debut appearance caught us off guard when we first saw her even if her debut was in the Season 2 finale it still left a big impact. Flutterbat was more of a clever plot twist in the middle of Season 4, think of it that way.
