What do you think are the chances of a heroic character dying?  And I mean a permanent death, no cheap revivals.  Who do you think is most likely to die?  It doesn't have to be one of the Mane Six, any positive pony character will do.  In case you're wondering why I'm asking this, I just feel like hearing the opinions of others on this topic.

In a kids show like MLP, very unlikely. They don't mention death in the show, they give signs and references to said death without talking about the death at all. I don't see a main character dying, in the show at all.

I don't think you were getting one with a cheap revivial let alone perma a death.

Look don't give me this kids show nonsense.  kids have had death before.

Do i really got rattle off a bunch of non disney animated cartoons?
Or i don't know disney movies LOL.

The staff could.  They totally could.  Are they going to?  Nah.  It's ice cream with dinner.

nice but not necessary.

Why specify non-Disney? Bambi's mother got killed. And plenty of villains fell to their inevitable deaths, even if it wasn't shown.

But on this show? Not, not a chance.

Happy minion of The Fabulous One!

well i felt mentioning disney death is cheating.  I mean it just happens.  Frozen (won't spoil)

Lion king, simba's dad,

Hell if Disney bought hasbro and did a movie, Celestail would die first act of the movie.

Whether or not a character dies in a "kids show" depends on the show. So for something like Transformers, which has a core audience slightly older than MLP(bronies notwithstanding) and has dealt with darker stuff before, yeah death might happen.

But with something like MLP, whose tone is generally lighter? No way.

Yeah. Apples and Oranges.

With Transformers we're talking about MACHINES--machines made for combat no less--versus soft flesh and blood creatures. Especially since they can be repaired or revived (Optimus has been killed and bought back so many times it's a joke)

Action cartoons can flirt with death, like with Avatar/Korra and the last two TMNT shows (the Aughts one more than the Nickelodeon one). As can feature length films. Even then it's never anything explicit.

While I'd like FiM to touch on death--it's a lesson kids need to learn about sooner or later--a light fantasy for little girls has a hard time going there...especially with Hasbro say "No".
