Something I noticed about the next episode

All right the next episode is Simple Ways, And that episode is going to involve some crushes. I just noticed something, that episode airs the closest to Valentine's day. So did the writers do that on purpose or was it unintentional?

Having already done a specific Valentine's special (or Hearts and Hooves day) they probably didn't want to do another, but I doubt this is purely coincidence. Not really sure how this is gonna work though, given that there are like 2 male characters in the entire show.

It's certainly a possibility given that Luna Eclipsed, Hearth's Warming Eve, and Hearts and Hooves Day all aired very close to Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day respectively. I see Hearts and Hooves Day as being the definitive Valentine's Day episode but there's no reason Simple Ways can't be looked at as a round 2 of sorts. It's definitely a nice coincidence to have a romance themed episode in time for V-Day.

I would love to see a Thanksgiving Pony episode too! One thing to consider though is that the United States celebrates it on the fourth Thursday of November but Canada celebrates it on the second Monday of October, so there might be some conflict as to when the episode should air. I definitely would like to see it happen though.

I don't know, I'm still worried. Josh Haber is the writer of the episode and he's fairly new, but on the other hand Rarity's and Fluttershy's interactions with one another were my favorite part of 'Castle Mane-ia.' I'm just a little nervous about it I suppose.

I dislike shipping and especially fan shippings, but I'd be surprised if this new character comes back. Isn't he a traveling sales pony? How convenient is that? I predict that no pony will fall in love and no pony will attain the dream we think they want e.g. Wonderbolts, fashion house in big city.

I, for one, am glad. Crushes and relationships are a part of life, and if rarity can have millions of fanboys she can have one bucking crush. Or two. And yeah, this may be a kid show, but from my experience with being a kids and kids in general, kids are more rapid shippers than even the best of bronies.

 

 

However, I will not deny that this episode will be very very very very weird.

Regardless, yeahh, I actually think the same myself. They did it because it was close to Valentine's Day, and holiday-esque themes...ughh, Saturday keeps growing closer
