It's supposed to be a new tv series coming out soon. And I like the designs for all of them except maybe knuckles. I actually have high hopes for the series. I mean think about it, no one would've guessed mlp: fim would be a wild success; but look what happened. For all we know it could be excellent. Then again, it could be sonic x 2.0. We'll just have to see and wait.

Yeah, I know it's odd, but by the preview of the game and show, it could be very good in the end.

Yeah I head a new show called Sonic Boom is being made to air on Cartoon Network. Also Knuckles looks bigger in that picture.

beats me, but it's probably got a reason behind it. Besides, these designs are likely subject to change at any time before the show actually premiers. Who knows, maybe they'll look way different in the premier.

Certainly an interesting take. I have faith in both versions of the game, especially the 3DS version since it's being done by the Sly Cooper 4 team.

 

And I think Knuckles is taking performance enhancing supplements.

Before I start, yes, this art is WEIRD. It's a new take on Sonic art, and it may look polarizing to some.

But, I was put more at ease when I saw this trailer

I'm confident that this new style won't be a huge effect. Sonic's still fast, cocky and cool, Tails is still a pilot and good with machines, Eggman is an evil genius with a few funny lines every now and then, it's all still there, just with a different coat of paint.

Yeah, Sonic Boom was confirmed as being an upcoming cartoon a while back. It's supposed to air sometime this year on Cartoon Network.

 

If that artwork is legit, then I really don't like what they did to Knuckles. Since when is he supposed to be so much taller and more muscular? I don't much care for Sonic's design either but Tails and Amy look alright. I have about as much faith in this show being remotely decent as I do of the next Sonic game being any good - not much faith at all.

Amazingly, there will be a game that will tie in as a prequel to the series.

 

 

The game will be developed by BigRedButton games(Consisted of former Naughty Dog developers who did games like the Jak and Daxter series and Uncharted) and will use the CryEngine 3.

 

Also, after spending the last few games as NPCs, Tails, Knuckles and Amy will return as full playable characters alongside Sonic.  And Amy looks like she's taken some cues from SatAM/Archie Sonic character Sally Acorn.

All of them look awesome! Knuckles looks a little odd, but we'll get used to his design.

 

Anyways, I can't wait for the show, and the game.

My thoughts: I definitely think it's awesome that Sonic and Co. are no longer sharing the exact same silhouette. Knuckles being bigger actually does makse SENSE when you consider the type of character he's meant to be. And making the guy with dreadlocks tall seems like a fitting combination.

And thank god Amy got rid of her previous, gravity-fighting outift. "OOPSIE OH DEAR YOU CAN SEE UP MY SKIRT! HEY SONIC, YOU'RE CHECKING THIS, RIGHT?......" It was a little bit immature.

 

Tails was always kind of an inventor, and this can't be the first time he's sported goggles, so I'm glad to see him getting a more devoted look to him. Honestly, while I take a "wait and see" approach with anything they ever try to do with Sonic, so far this is looking promising!

I can't handle Knuckles being muscled up and taller than Sonic. I always thought they were the same height. Knuckles is the Vegeta to Sonic's Goku.

I just want to know what Shadow looks like... Otherwise I don't think it looks too bad, just why all the bandages and stuff? It doesn't mean cool if that's what they were going for. And if so, how come Sonic isn't covered in bumper stickers since they would make him go faster.

apparently, the game will be a prequel for the TV series. The new designs are not bad, just a but to get used to, maybe they're trying to make a slight reboot with Sonic, in an attempt to recover fans. Only time and their skills will tell if it works
