I actually like the fact that prior to them buying KYM everyone liked to diss those videos, and now that the original cast of those videos is gone everyone likes to bitch about them being bought out.

I'm sorry if I don't see anyones origonal work that may have been plagerized. These are just the sites I like going to. I go to passive-agressive notes too. And lamebook. And cracked. And buzzfeed. And the daily what. And yahoo. Ans scientific journal. And live leak. Should I be going to your sites? I don't get it. All I was saying was that I like going to the cheezeburger network. You know I did go through like 2 years with barely any internet acess. Is there a certian place where I should be looking at rage comics or other memes?

 

I'm also not a user or am signed up with these sites. I have an e-mail, an MLP forums account, and a facebook, and a youtube acount wich has one video uploaded for the "post a recording of your voice" thread here on the forums. I don't ever get involved really with any community online. I go to sites that have mindless and funy pics/gif/comic strips/videos and other memes, for mindless amusement. Then I torrent the new CD or movie I find interesting and worth pirating.

 

So what suporior sites to you recommend I go to?

I must admit that I spend lots of time on "My little Brony", "Memebase" annd "Failblog", but I liked Failblog a lot more a few years ago, where there wasn't the whole "Cheezeburger-network" stuff. Now you have the stupid partision in Failblog and FailNation and everything that the network itself produces is crap. I wonder if anypony ever bought something in the store and why it(the store) still existst. I knew vaguely what's going on with plagiarism and I'll try to visit the site more seldom

Memebase is how I discovered MLP. I kept seeing pony pictures on the main page, and I thought the jokes were pretty cute (even though some went over my head, not being familiar with the show). Looked MLP:FIM up on YouTube, and here I am. I love mylittlebrony, failbook, and some of the meme animals (business cat, insanity wolf, etc.).

 

I understand what you are saying, but I think a lot of the internet is like that these days. I have tried to find other meme sites, but most are very disorganized and I wade through tons of lame memes just to find a few funny ones. memebase at least has some sort of modding system, though I acknowledge that it could be improved.

I see your point of view, but I still go there because even though what you said is mostly true, I can't find anywhere else to get the images organized as they already are in icanhascheezburger, they have a variety of images comics I can't be offered in other websites

 

and mostly I only go to mylittlebrony

I don't hate Cheezburger itself, but the whole set of Memebase, especially My Little Brony and Pokememes where other people's artwork is uploaded, given a special Cheezburger watermark and left there without accreditation is bad.

 

Id don't care when people upload their own pictures of cats, or make their own graphs and even rage comics. But they just can't keep their hands off original artwork. if they dropped the watermark business and properly linked to the original, I would be satisfied.

That is entirely a personal opinion. I go to those sites when I am bored and want to be amused, and evidently they are amusing enough for me to return fairly often. I can't even remember the names of the other meme sites I have been to because the content was so dry and unamusing.

 

Also, evidently the content is satisfying enough to build an ever-growing and increasingly popular franchise.

 

Again, I agree that uploading other people's work and not crediting them is wrong, and I do wish icanhas would police this better. This is why I dislike sites like funnyjunk, which blatantly disregard copyrights. I instead visit theoatmeal, xkcd, etc. directly. If you have links to original, well-laid-out, GOOD meme sites, then by all means share them.

I like looking at the My Little Brony section just because there is no real other place for me to find funny pictures without typing "Funny MLP pictures" into Google. I understand that the Cheezeburger network does take peoples images/ideas and use them without permission but, honestly, I'm not going to stop because there is no other source to get my giggles from. If someone were to set up a new website with creators from around the world and admin staff that carefully registered and authorized every image then it would be perfect but since the internet is far from perfect I will be sticking with My Little Brony.

 

(I don't visit and other site on there apart from MLB, the others are just beating the life out of old, boring jokes)
