gaming If you were a pokemon gym leader, what would be your main specialty type?

Pokemon, the games to be specific, one of the best and funnest parts of the games has to be challenging all of the gym leaders to advance more into the game and earn the respective badge to prove you are becoming the new champion of the region!

 

However, I thought it would be nice to know if things went different, like switching the tables around.

 

A great question for today is to ask you guys, if you were a gym leader or one of the elite four, decision is up to you, what would be your main specialty type?

 

And if so, what pokemons would you have ready for those who challenge you? 

 

I would so happen to be an elite 4 leader who specializes in Psychic types!

A serious, powerful, and very intelligent group of pokemons fits me entirely for battle against anyone.

 

With Gallade, Gardevoir, Metagross, and Malamar as my pokemons!

Well even though I am already a water type gym leader I think being a steel type gym leader would be cool. My team would be Metagross, Scizor, Skarmory, and Aegislash, assuming we are limiting ourselves to four Pokemon.

Either dark, ghost or psychic. Probably dark though, since it beats out ghost which beats out psychic which beats everything else. Dark only loses to fairy if my memory serves. So give me a list of dark Pokemon and I'll kick some Pokemon noob ass

Not to be a total noob or anything, I think Fairy-type would match my personality the most. Even though I may not prefer most of the fairy pokemon.

 

I would have a team consisting of Sylveon, Clefable, Togekiss, Florges, Gardevoir, and Azurmarill.

I'd probably want to be a fire type or electric type gym. I don't think I could be in the Elite Four because that's way too much pressure.

 

Fire because my favourite pokemon is arcanine and any excuse to use arcanine is a good excuse.

 

Electric because I've had a crush on Lt. Surge since I got my first pokemon game (Yellow) back when it came out in 1999.

 

If I were a fire type gym leader, I would have the following pokemon:

• Arcanine
• Rapidash
• Flareon

If I were an electric type gym leader, I would have the following pokemon:

• Raichu
• Jolteon
• Ampharos

Yeah, for me one of the fun things about the idea of gyms in Pokemon is the aesthetic of the gym and how it plays into your chosen type... I dunno.

Hmm... Probably either Dark or Psychic type.

 

My Dark team would consist of Malamar, Scrafty, Bisharp, and Pangoro.

 

My Psychic team would consist of Gallade, Malamar (again because he's awesome), Medicham, and Slowking.

 

As for Gym design, for the Dark type I'd probably do something similar to a haunted house, but one that's more gore-y and evil-looking than one you would find at an amusement park.

 

Psychic I'd probably do something with manipulating gravity to walk on walls and stuff.

I'd have a flying gym. Flying type has always been one of my favourites, I frequently ran a mono-flying team back in generation three. They were and still are a very versatile type with a lot of unique type combinations.

 

My team would be Aerodactyl, Crobat, Skarmory and Gyarados. If I were an elite 4 member, add Togekiss to the list so I could troll my opponents a bit with a 60% flinch rate

I actually am a Ground-type leader in a league some friends and I designed. It was either that or Ghost, and we all felt that Ground fit my personality better.

I love that gentle giant Mamoswine. That and he's a great revenge killer.
