Frequent Connection Time-outs

I have been experiencing this problem frequently this morning. Sometimes, a connection time-out will occur. 

 

The errors range from 500 read time-out to 502 origin time-out. It also says it's from the host's side, not my macbook. I am using Google Chrome.

Site had some difficulty this morning. Probably the staff working on something. Was doing the same thing for me. Seems fine now though.

Hey guys, it was yet another DDos attack on the site. Feld0's sorting things out, but it seems someone doesn't like us. Either way, they will give up eventually.

I've been having the same problem. And looking at MLP Forums' Twitter page, it would seem that there's been some issues with DDoS attacks. I'm thinking it happened again this morning, though everything seems alright now.

Basically, an attack on a host server (in this case, MLP Forums' server). Distributed Denial of Service is what it stands for, and it's when the attacker basically renders the server useless by spamming it with information packets through one method or another; overloading the server and making it next to impossible for users to access. There's someone out there that apparently really doesn't like this site.
