It depends on what theories you believe in; to me I do believe there is different universes and different dimensions, but that's just my thoughts. There could be a chance, possibly 50/50; not certainly sure. Of course, everyone wishes and wants (MLP) ponies to be real, that's different from believing they are truly real. I mean the animal planetchannel discovered mermaids were real (source: http://www.animalplanet.com/tv-shows/mermaids/videos/mermaids-the-body-found-scientists-speak-out-for-first-time.html)

So who knows? There's no true or false answer here, until there's full evidence; so for now all we have is our opinions.

The only possible way for them to exist is having an a fictional mega verse which has the capabilities of generating universes in itself by grasping stories or fictional statements. But at the moment no. It is not possible for them to exist. We might be able to bring them into existence in the future by learning how t generate universes and modifying the mass inside them. But there's no proof whatsoever that we will be able to do that.

Theoretically speaking, lets assume the universe is infinite, and in an infinite universe, atoms would eventually run out of forms they can arrange themselves into, therefore it could be possible that some where billions of light years away they could potentially exist, obviously in a very different light to what we seem them in but you get what I'm saying, as long as the way they were designed was logical and was able to sustain as a species

But that's only if the universe is infinite, and even then, the MLP ponies might not be able to exist with the physical laws of our universe. Like unicorn magic wouldn't be possible no matter how far away in the universe you go.

 

My answer to this question is that it depends on what is meant by "exist." There are many different views on what it means to exist. That's why there's an entire branch of philosophy that deals with that question. One could argue that ponies do exist because they exist in our minds, and since everything else only exists within our minds (according to some philosophical viewpoints), ponies exist just as much as anything else.
