For me, like many others, its all about the context of the situation. to non-bronies: everybody to bronies: everypony Serious discussion: everybody Lighthearted discussion: everypony I would've thought that this was pretty obvious, what is the point of saying everypony to someone to has never watched the show, they are just going to give you strange looks. I use everypony whenever there is an oppertunity, but I refrain from "spamming" the term; if I feel that I am saying it too much, I'll just stop saying it... Since my sister knows that I am a brony, every so often I use everypony when talking to her (she finds it silly, but doesn't care at all) To those who say "we're not ponies" in reply to this kind of topic: Whenever I say everypony, its not that it makes me feel more like a pony, so to speak ( although we all know we want to :3 ) its more of the fact that, its a phrase used in a TV show that we like to watch, and we're using it; end of story. If you said it seems "fanboy-ish" like (somepony/body) else in this topic said, I would agree with you; but to me, thats a plus.

This is the type of topic where I either: 1. get inspired to do something creative, and lose motivation an hour down the line (because what I create, doesn't look nearly a tenth as good as stuff other bronies produce). 2. get depressed/jealous at the fact that there are TONS of bronies with amazing talent and I'm sitting here... doing nothing... Of course, I adore fan-made stuff along with the show itself, and I admire the good nature of *most* bronies. THIS is why I am a brony. It just seems that whenever the word brony is tossed around the interwebs, theres a good chance that it will be associated with all the fanart stuff; and theres somepony like me wanting to contribute in some awesome way - but I feel that if I ever create something that I put a fair amount of time into, it will never amount to something that I will find... good? I hope this reply wasn't too depressing for ya :/

I myself, have never watched any of the previous generations, so I can't really give my opinion as to just how good or bad they really were, but I do see where you're coming from when it comes to direct, constant hate towards the old gen; it seems really unfair. Even if, one hated the previous gen's, being a brony and all, you'd think that most of us would be polite and simply speak their opinion rather than force it onto other people. If not even that, try to make light of the previous gen's, "I really hate gen x, but it paved some inspiration for FIM, so at least I can thank it for that" or something to that effect. Whether I watch any of the older generations or not, whether I like them or not, I don't think I'll ever understand why people/other bronies hate on it so much.
