Equestrian law enforcement?
Thewookie Wooker replied to Dreadmallon's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I would take a guess that police in Equestria is limited to local larger cities and a federal police force. Due to the low crime rates it would be inefficent to run a large police state. Likewise, fear as some influence among the populace of Equestria in that they could be locked away or exiled. I would agree with Sir Commie on the aspect that due to their cutie marks, there is less crime. But remember there is a security guard at the hospital, along with many security guards at the palace archives meaning the world isn't as peachy as it may come across as. As for the Royal Guard, I would guess there's an Equestrian Army which uses WWII styled helmets but is merely a small standing army with many times more in reserves. The royal guard is as its name implies, the royal guard. -
Chuck Norris as himself......... Yes, I would love to see, well hear, Patrick Stewart voice some upper tier pony have an argument with Discord. Get Mark Hammel and James Earl Jones to play a father son duo William Shatner to do his voicing, plus yell some random name at the end of the show. Clint Eastwood as the sheriff in some Western town Sethisto playing Trixie's boyfriend lol

Disappointing if you solely look at the episode as one single episode. Not enough references, at least in quantity. But by far this has to be one of the best episodes in adding additional insight on Equestria in general along with continiuty nods. Though I did enjoy seeing Twilight go crazy again. 1. Greek Mythology 2. 2 more canonized city names 3. Pinkie Sense shows up 4. Pinkie has random objects hidden around Ponyville 5. Time Travel is possible 6. War is Canon 7. Hell/Underworld is somewhat canon, it may just be a prison of sorts 8. Pinkie breaks the 4th wall by asking about the flower pot's origin Most importantly though: It is LEGAL to walk in Canterlot I would give it around a 7 out of 10 8 out of 10 if someone can find more refs

Sad there seemed to be a lack of Back to the Future or Dr. Who references, unless you count just seeing him, Dr. Whooves. Happy about a couple new city names made canonical. I enjoyed the whole slowly explained a time loop but was shocked there was no letter, then again she really didn't learn anything about friendship. She learned a life lesson, but nothing really "friendship" oriented. Was it just me or did RD, Celestia, Twilight seem a bit different voice wise all slightly deeper rather than higher pitched. What was Celestia up to in the Star Swearled the Bearded wing at sunrise...... Twilight truely did look like she had fought in some epic pony war by the end.

I'm going to imagine what the references are going to be.... The opening will have Scootaloo look at her clock, leave the house on her scooter and ride it through the streets, briefly using a cart before deeming it too slow. While riding she passes a dance place, and a doctor's office which house with a sign. Before the camera continues on Derpy eating a muffin bumps into the house, derps briefly causing an owl to wake up on the roof and fly away. Then as she goes past a few more buildings a pony is in in the process of pasting a sign over another sign with horns at the top (continuity nod) and the new one could say "on the Power of Love" then she rides up to her school and the theme starts.

Personally I like the pseudo-utopian look rather than a utopian society. Utopia is impossible and would literally require all the ponies to be flat out boring. I would never want them to go as dark as our world, but the idea that all the ponies arn't kind/charitable gives more realism to the Equestrian people. Furthermore it makes the Mane 6's friendships seem more genuine rather than "automatic" Also a more realistic problem can give people/children an easier time relating it to their own lives. Rarity's manipulation of the nerd pony gives her further character depth, she generous, but not a saint. Pinkie's trickery was based obviously off Bugs Bunny's. This also shows she does have a brain up there since you can't manipulate through trickery if you're as bright as Rocky. Lastly we seefurther proof that Fluttershy can be more than just a timid pony/doormat. But has a tendency to take ideas to their extreme at first, but that's common.

A question on shippings
Thewookie Wooker replied to Thewookie Wooker's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
There are many male ponies in the background, just nameless. In the Celestia + Twilight shipping, I also see more of a hero worship relationship or that of a mother and daughter. The idea of Twilight feeling romantically interested in Celestia loses credence in my book due to the mass quantity of time she spent as Celestia's student at a young age. The filly Twilight obviously wouldn't of had romantic feelings to begin with, and as she aged Twilight would of likely seen her as an adoptive mother. She bows to the Princess most of the time but always is the first to end her bow and greet her. Then no matter what she does, she wants to achieve whatever Celestia wanted her to. Similiar to a child trying to impress his/her's parent/s. I could see C + T more likely had Twilight began studying with Celestia at an older age. Due to her, lets say 5 to 20th years spent with Celestia; she could never see Celestia for anything aside from her teacher, and kind of a maternal figure. Remember she expects Celestia to spend time with her at the Grand Galloping Gala like a child on "Take your child" to work day. -

This is my personal take on the Mane 6: Rarity, she likes colts only. She has used flirting to get colts to work for her, along with her brief dream to marry Prince Blueblood which then is shattered when it turns out he is no gentlecolt. Twilight, very likely is interested in colts only. Unless homosexual relationships are mainstay in Equestria, she would go by the book which rarely strays from a colt and a mare. Fluttershy, likely is interested in colts only. She is too shy for anyone to really see a hint of any romantic preference. I would guess she may just stay single due to her fears and shy personality, Big Mac and others like him may work for her due to both are very shy and wound't scare her. Pinkie Pie, likely is interested in colts only aswell. But she will likely be single very long due to the fact that very few could ever hope to keep up with her hyperactive lifestyle and be able to understand all her quirks. But just imagine the wedding....... Applejack, she's a cowpony so she's less blatant but likely straight. Though she's a very independent lady she is still a mare, and doesn't really show any inklings to any of the other Mane 6, outside maybe RD. She is a true friend though and would need a colt willing to accept her independence. Most cowgirls arn't lesbians. Rainbow Dash, is more of a question mark. There is some tension between her and AJ but it is unknown if its just true rivalry or a more romantic one. She's very much a tomboy but that does not necesarrily mean she's a fillyfooler but only that she may have grown up with many boy siblings or only a father figure. She still appears to be somewhat girly deep down but is very headstrong about her capabilities. Also based off of Pegusi history, they were warriors, so it may just be of a more cultural orgin. -

Season 3 Having 13 Episodes
Thewookie Wooker replied to Proailurus's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
About buying the rights to MLP FIM, you couldn't truely buy it, Hasbro owns the Copyright to the show and all things MLP. Now theoretically enough money could buy a organized company (Brony INc.) rights to use the property for a certain period of time but anything done by that company would have to 1st be checked by Hasbro (censoring) along with if the Webshow makes money, a certain percentage would have to go to Hasbro/the hosting site/voices/animators. The 1st step to accomplishing this idea would require a real legal company which is owned and operated by Bronies. Since I personally can't just walk up to Hasbro and ask them for a lease on the copyright. If I am getting money from 250,000 people giving $5 a piece, not only would you require a massively trustworthy character to run it, but a legit legal company. If Sethito compiled the money and bought the rights, then infringed on it, Hasbro would sue him personally, not a company. This since a contract can't be signed by "The Bronies" -
Season 3 Having 13 Episodes

I can't see Hasbro ending the series at the minimum. As soon as they stop airing the show, their sales will stop rising. Since less people will join the Brony movement while more leave to jump on the next band wagon. Though the whole Brony idea will never truely die, the ending of the show would likely be the end of any real growth. Plus, as long as the show keeps running PMV pewople have more clips which then turns into free advertising. Lastly, this generation of ponies (back story and whatnot) should be adopted for the whole franchise for G5 in 10 years. Since it is rare to get such a response twice in a row without the two having alot in common. -

So many songs, so much Pinkie murdering physics. The continuity with RD and the babies was sheer genius. The opening reminded me of Rocky and old 70's workout spoofs. He's a Cranky Doodle Donkey she's Cranky Doodle's joy Derpy in a snowglobe, in an episode where millions of ponies are popping up at random. Clever. But it does leave me confused over one thing, I understood Zebras and Donkeys were sentient, but cows seem intelligent but they live in a farm?

Glad to see other Chuck fans, what do you think theyd look like as ponies?
