  1. Love the Oscars! It has always been a dream of mine to attend, or at least design a dress for an actress attending.. lupita nyong'o was so darling and I am glad she won. She gave my favorite speech last night and her dress was to die for. and bravo to Frozen. It was well deserved.
  2. I personally adore Spring. Everything is new and fresh..a time to start new. I also adore the colors. Bright pastels. Oh so very romantic. and a girl cannot go wrong with a lovely floral dress with some darling classical pearls wrapped around her neck
  3. Oh how I wish I could find more time to come on to this wonderful thread but school keeps me super busy. *sighs* Simple Ways was delightful and hoot! I love the interaction between Rarity and Applejack, and seeing them act as one another was cute! (who knew Applejack had such a booty) and I know so many men who are like Trenderhoof in New York. He was a little bit full of himself but he meant well. He was just aloof to Rarity's feelings. Much kinder then Prince Blueblood...but in my head cannon Prince Blueblood isn't into mares. I am keeping my freshly manicured hands crossed in hoping we get another Rarity episode this season!
  4. I never understood why everyone calls Rarity's accent British when it is not. but for race I see Rarity- Belgian(since she is based off of Audrey Hepburn) Twilight- Cameroom(She reminds me of my darling best friend who is from there) Rainbow Dash- Greek Apple Jack- Good ol west-southern gal. Pinkie Pie- Alien Fluttershy- Indian
  5. I would be a fashion designer since that is my dream in real life. and I would be a lovely unicorn.
  6. Oh what a neat Ideal About me~ My name is Dolly(I was named after the singer we all know) I'm 22 years old. Studying Fashion Design at FIT, A New Yorker, My favorite pony is Rarity.. Me and her are alike in so many way and my second favorite is AppleJack. @Lavender- Oh A Disney wedding sounds so romantic! @Raven oo I loved Cherry Jubilee! She had a lovely design and was an interesting character.
  7. Darlings I am so thrilled for Saturday! Finally a Rarity episode that takes place in my city(well the pony version of course) and to see a pony version of fashion week! I'm curious as to which fashion industry people will be turned into pony Since we have Anna Wintour, and Karl Lagerfeld.
  8. I don't know why but I have always pictured fluttershy as tall, frail, lengthy, and awkward. She even got to be a runway model and we all know runway models are tall. So my guess is Fluttershy- 5ft9 Applejack-5ft10 Rarity-5ft7-5ft6 Twilight- 5ft7-5ft6 Rainbow Dash- 5ft8 Pinkie Pie- 5ft5
  9. Oh dear just the thought of me driving scares me darling! thankfully I live in the city where I can take a bus, taxi, subway
  10. About once or twice week. Shopping is one of my hobbies and being into fashion. I love making new things to wear or going to a store. Thankfully my job lets me to afford this lifestyle. Plus I love thrift store shopping where you can find one of kind pieces from different time periods for under 10 dollars.
  11. Funny you say but my grand mother told me I fell in love with this pink and purple polka dotted dress the first time I saw it coming home from the hospital. She told me I use to carry it around everywhere. So maybe that is where I started my love for dresses
  12. Darling it is just opinions no need to fret over it. Like what you like and let it be. My two biggest ones tho are movies and fashion. Films to me personally were better made back in the day and I'm talking Hollywood's golden ages. My favorite decade of film was the 1930s with 1939 being their best year ever. It just seems like they put more effort into making a film and actually cared about the craft of acting. Also beileve it or not but there were much more roles for women and women lead characters then there are now.. and as for fashion...Fashion now has become so dull and unoriginal. People don't believe in glamor anymore. The fashion industry use to be much more exciting but now it's so much produced anything you buy in your little hometown you can buy around the world. I blame this on corporations taking over the world that leads to smaller designers never being able to get their lines out there.
  13. Oh dear I think my worst date..well It wasn't so bad just shocking and left a little bit of a disgust in my mouth. Long Story short I went out with an older man(46 years of age) He took me to dinner and after we got to know each other I found he was the father of one of my classmates from High School...That kind of killed the fantasy for him.
  14. Shoes shoes shoes a girl can never have to many shoes. I have about 165 pairs of shoes(mostly Heels) I love heels and the higher the better.
  15. I use to watch The facts of life when it was re-airing on the hub. Such a shame they took it off. I love that sitcom.*sights* at least there are dvds
  16. As of now I'm doing an internship during the weekdays I'm interning for a designer in NYC. Usually my day here could be from 6 hours to whenever at her place alone. but it's very rewarding I'm learning a lot of skills and meeting wonderful different types of people. I even get to help out during fashion week. and on weekends I work at a boutique in Soho.
  17. Jpop is the short term for Japanese pop and Utada Hikaru is great It's sad that her mother has committed suicide recently If you are interested here is one of my favorite Japanese singers Seiko Matsuda http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JLfAfsDLDM
  18. Oh Dear! I need to take a lot of you to the golden age of films 30s-50s some of my most favorite movies are Casablanca Gone With The Wind All About Eve Jezzebelle Citizen Kane Mildred Pierce Roman Holiday Streetcar named Desire Suddenly, Last Summer Imitation of Life(Saddest Movie Ever)
  19. I don't do it..Since I only wear dresses but I hate that we put such labels on gender and clothing. Wear what you want to wear! but it's silly since thru out history what was considered appropriate for men and women have changed. You know high heels were first intended for only men to wear? Also Since I'm a dress maker..The more people wearing dresses the better
  20. Ugh whenever I have to carry all of my supplies on the the New York Subways.... I die every time....One time I had a role of fabrics fall open and rolled down the train!
  21. It has a lot to do with the record labels. Like Avex or EMI sadly this is why I think Jpop is losing fans overseas because it's hard to access when KPOP is easier to get and is getting more over seas fans...Then again the Japanese music industry really only cares about staying in Japan.
  22. Rarity might think of it as a time of when brave handsome men would go off to fight for their women...a Romantic time..Where people would also dress up glamorous waiting for their men to come back home.
  23. Oh Gee so much -Shopping -Sewing -Dancing -Designing -Going to museums -Exploring NYC -Reading -Singing -Eating out -Shopping -knitting -watching musicals -Experimenting hair styles and new make up on myself
  24. I'm having this obsession with 40s-50s fashion..and the HATS! Something you don't see really any woman wear for fashion. unless it's for church. Oh how I miss hats..
  25. I haven't watched an anime in years! but my favorite was always Sailor Moon. I also enjoyed Kare Kano, Kodocha, Nana, Paradise Kiss, and Peach Girl. Anyone ever watch Japanese dramas?
