What supermarket chains are by where you live?
Cactus replied to NothingIsEverything's topic in General Discussion
I have the normal things like Target and Walmart, and a Kmart. The more "less widespread" stores near me would be Publix and SweetBay. -
mega thread What is your sexuality ?
Cactus replied to DashingRainbow36's topic in General Discussion
Ehh, where is the "it's complicated" choice? Many factors decide in my attraction to someone, and even then, I never have a real sexual attraction to anyone. It truly is complicated. If I had to slap a title on it, I would go with asexual. That's not to say I don't have any kinks. The act of sex itself doesn't interest me. I would consider myself biromantic, but even then, I have particular preferences. -
Yes, I am fairly patriotic. Patriotism is merely a sense of cultural devotion to a country, though I suppose the definition of all words could be argued. Every government will have major and minor flaws; there is no reason to snivel at a government for them.

I have a German Shepherd and I love him. He can be a handful, but he is goofy and worth it all the time. He's almost two years old and weighs nearly a hundred pounds.

I put "Smarties" since it's the closest thing, but it is actually Shockers, which are little circular candies that are very sour, made by Wonka.

Going to a party today, so I decided to take a picture as I actually look halfway decent.

I picked "other" because it really depends on what I am doing. If I'm going to the store, not really. If I am meeting with friends or going out for fun, yes, I try to look nice.

I do not believe in an afterlife. I believe death will be like the billions of years before I was born. Consciousness is created by workings in the brain. Once there are no more workings, the consciousness simply ceases to exist. Do I fear it? No. As I said, I have already spent billions of years in that state. At best, I could be inspiring, and say there is an afterlife. I'm still speaking from truth. Your body remains on the earth. Everything that you considered you. A long time from now, the sun will engulf the earth, and it will eventually form a nebula. All of your cells, that made up you, will be part of that supernova. Eventually that supernova will form a new star, with you being a part of contribution to its powerful gasses that light up space.

How far would you go for an abducted child?
Cactus replied to Moonlight's topic in General Discussion
I would call the police and not follow the car. There is nothing I can do to help by following, and doing so may make things even more complicated for the authorities. -
TheDarkCynder.4618 and I added you. I just got my second of one of the new exotics as a drop. First Monsoon, a staff, and now Impaler, a spear.

I'm at Liadri as well. I've only faced her a few times, so I haven't gotten past the first part. Taking a from it for now. What's your username in-game?

So the new living story is out. There is a gauntlet arena where you are face against several different tiers of enemies. There is an asura announcer who calls out random things when you are in the arena, such as "Our challenger better wrap things up quick!" or "It's always nice to welcome this veteran contender back to our arena!" After hearing her a few times, I found that her voice sounded familiar. But where had I heard it? A few hours later it came to me. It sounded almost exactly like Twilight Sparkle! And it is! Tara Strong voiced this NPC! A dev has confirmed it on the forums. "Good call-the asura announcer in the Crown Pavilion is indeed Tara Strong." Ahahaha I knew it! What a great little tidbit to have in-game. I keep imagining Twilight when I hear her now.

Foods You Have Eaten That Most People Haven't Heard Of
Cactus replied to Shanks's topic in General Discussion
I love vegemite, and I'm not Australian. :c The weirdest things I've had are probably alligator jerky (popular where I live), crocodile chowder, kangaroo jerky, and kangaroo steak.- 30 replies

I live around half-an-hour from Busch Gardens in Florida, so I go there often. I think I've ridden all of the coasters there, including the newest one, Cheetah Hunt. My favorite is probably Shiekra; I love dive coasters.

1: Coke 2: Coke 3: Pepsi I don't like light soda, I don't like the taste of fruit sodas, and I don't like the taste of root beer or Dr. Pepper.

I am 16, and female. When this semester starts, I will be a junior in high school. I don't get good grades, due to stress and otherwise being horrible at math. I probably average a 'B,' but I'm working on it. I put more value into other things than raw grades, and I think colleges and employers are as well. I am cold and realistic. I am an atheist. I am a skeptic. Face-to-face, I keep my mouth shut until someone needs me, unless the subject is something I am passionate about. This is different from when I am able to type. I can collect my thoughts easier from behind a computer, without having to think quickly in order to keep a conversation going. On the internet, I will shove my nose into more things than are good for me. The internet raised me; my parents were too old to really spend real time with me when I was younger, so my father built me my first computer when I was only five or six years of age to keep me occupied. I discovered the internet instantly, and it raised me. My parents did not filter anything. On forums, I spent time alongside adults, and took their criticism to heart. Begging for attention got me shunned. Spelling incorrectly got me shunned. Acting my age got me shunned. I spent more time on the internet than I did with my peers. I was exposed to hate on the internet, and went through an emotional crisis because of it. I don't get offended on the internet anymore. I'm not bothered by trolls. I tend to take things seriously, and miss a lot of sarcasm. I enjoy video games and I love computers. I am a fan of MLP and I am a furry, a fursuiter to be more specific.

I am not, but my father is an electrical engineer. He works for a company that sells injection molding machines. It's pretty interesting.

I stopped when I realized how much easier it is to buy a bunch of cheap candy than walk around in the hot and humid night (lolFlorida) in a costume asking strangers for it.

Anthrocon generates around $6 Million in Pittsburgh's economy annually. I don't think Pittsburgh minds the "annoyance." I enjoy going to conventions. I recently got back from a furry convention in Florida, and I had a great time. It was MUCH smaller than Anthrocon, though. I also plan to go to the Tampa Bay Comic Con at the end of this month.

I am an atheist. I feel that it should be noted that not all atheists are irreligious. The only requirement to be an atheist is not believing in a deity, and not all religions have one. Secondly, I feel that it is a misconception that atheists all say "There is definitely not a deity." Nobody could state that. Nobody is omniscient enough to do so. However, an atheist can say that there is no evidence to support that so (s)he does not believe in it.
