    "Old Spongebob" and "new Spongebob". Grouping them into "good" and "bad" groups is basically the same as hating on them. Should we refer to MLP characters as "old" and "new" since some of the names were used in the older MLP cartoons just because we dislike the older MLP cartoons?

    No, I hate when somepony complains about new Spongebob like it's some kind of cancer. People never stop complaining about it, and quite frankly, it annoys me a lot more than the post-movie Spongebob episodes.

    Because he's not our favorite? Besides, Gir is funniest when Zim is around to be annoyed by Gir's randomness.

    If they changed it, everyone would've still complained (remember Super Mario 64 DS?) At least in OoT3D's case, the game got better graphics, a boss rush mode, and included the Master Quest (which is good for people like me who never played the Master Quest version before.) What else really needed to be changed about the game? But this is getting a bit off-topic, so you might wanna post in the Zelda thread if you choose to reply.

    Not that I don't agree, but when you've heard that as many times I have, it gets really annoying. Especially since Spongebob is definitely not the first cartoon to go downhill.

    I'm not sure who my favorite cartoon character is...either Rocko or Spongebob. Do people seriously have to mention how "the new seasons suck" EVERY time anything Spongebob-related is brought up? It's getting old hearing that all the time...very old. True, but most people put them in different categories, so that's not really what was being asked in this thread...at least, I don't think it was.
