  1. MLP Season 4 and Rainbow Rocks on DVD. Was quite happy.
  2. It's not a big flaw. Discord rewrites the rules of reality on a whim. Why is it unbelievable that he could make it so that Twilight discords herself? He himself doesn't have to change Twilight directly. He could just change the laws of reality so that Twilight just *becomes* discorded when she loses faith in her friends. It's like the difference between making objects fly upward through telekinesis and objects flying upward because the law of gravity was reversed.
  3. I don't know of to many console games today with one hit deaths where you can't save at all. Not that uncommon on the NES, though.
  4. I don't know if anyone has seen "hard" until they've played Ghosts and Goblins on the NES. You kids who grew up with luxuries like life bars, smooth controls, and save states don't know how easy you have it.
  5. The fic itself? Meh. But I'm not a huge fanfiction guy. But the video by MisterDavie? Holy crap that is fun. And anyone who thinks that it's only because of shock value that people like the video- there's a reason why this was much better than either the fic or any of the other Cupcakes videos on youtube.
  6. From the US. Specifically Noo Joisey.
  7. I don't think Avengers is all that great. It's probably my third or fourth favorite Marvel movie behind the first Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and maybe even Captain America: The First Avenger.
  8. Her face when she realizes she needs to make two dozen new outfits for Sapphire Shores' world tour by next tuesday: Seriously, we need more pics of Rarity in her designer glasses.
  9. Legend of Legaia on the PS1 and its sequel Legaia 2: Duel Saga on PS2. Two really great games, IMO. They're Final Fantasy style turn based RPGs with a twist- the combat style, while turn based, drew heavy inspiration from virtua fighter style fighting games. Each round for each character you would input a series of attacks to fill up something of an "attack meter", which grows longer with more experience, and then once you're done the characters would unleash the combination you just input. By putting in these combinations you could unlock certain special moves called Arts, which look more impressive and do more damage. You could even link arts together in combos to do some major damage. Especially in Legaia 2. Between being a a very high level, using multiple powerups to boost my strength, and linking up some of the most powerful arts attacks in the game, I once did a combo that took off well over a million HP. Killed off the final boss in one glorious shot.
  10. Rarity. Even ignoring the fact that she's my favorite, the detail in her eye design and mane styling as well as overall color scheme are really quite alluring.
  11. Flash Sentry is the character equivalent of chewing gum- kind of flavorless and just there to keep you occupied, but nowhere near a full meal.
  12. I think they would end up with some kind of fake fur compromise, anyway. Rarity would certainly be talented enough to come up with a substitute.
  13. Holy Crap, the Dragon Egg test is the Kobayashi Maru from Star Trek. I had no idea.
  14. Rarity and Big Mac are amateur (I'm guessing) singers with the Ponytones, and neither of them have a cutie mark for singing.
  15. I doubt they'd be friends if that was the case. It's just not something I can imagine Rarity getting behind anyway.
  16. I played Super Star Wars on the SNES on the "Jedi" level not long ago and shortly afterwards questioned my sanity for doing that. Never actually played Bayou Billy as a kid but of course I know about that game's reputation. Seems like a game that was cool in concept (fighting, driving, and light gun game all in one!) but poorly executed.
  17. A lot of great games there. While I wouldn't say they're "better" than modern games, it really was a different experience. Usually no saves (unless the game had a battery backup), sometimes no continues even, three lives, and cheap-ass deaths from annoying enemies- you'll be at full strength and then some bat or something will knock you backwards into an instant death pit. And yet we kept on coming back for more.
  18. Well, as much as they seem to have in common, they're both somewhat different characters. One's a leader, the other is more of a follower. DT is the more charismatic Alpha of the two, which makes her a great antagonist in episodes like Ponyville Confidential. Silver Spoon is more of a Beta following DT's lead and between that and the fact that she was the first to applaud Granny Smith in Family Appreciation Day, leads some to think of her as a pony that's not so bad, just under the influence of a bad apple. That's why she's perceived as more redeemable.
  19. Because there clearly is no other option!
  20. I wonder how much my Star Wars figures and G1 transformers are worth now. Around 10 years ago I saw the Megatron I owned(the original G1 Walther p38 gun version) on sale for $300, but that was still in the box.
  21. Gonna show my age here, but I was an NES freak. Super Mario Bros 1-3, Double Dragon, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Mega Man 2, Contra, Zelda, Ninja Gaiden, Dragon Warrior (aka Dragon Quest I)... man, those were the days. And holy shit were games hard back then. I challenge any modern gamer to get even past the first level of Ghosts and Goblins.
  22. Yes, but it's easy enough for me, being Korean-American. In South Korea, men between the ages of 18 and 30 are required to serve for two years in the military (there are exceptions, of course). Even celebrities have to put in their time. So yeah, my dad, all my uncles, and some of my cousins have some sort of military experience.
  23. D'awww.... Best sisters, or best sisters?
  24. I found out I got my DVDs of SMP season 4 and Rainbow Rocks a day early. That awkward sound you just heard is that of a grown man squeeing.

Awesome! Just got my Season 4 DVDs in the mail too. It's pony time!

  25. She knew because her future self told her, of course. That's the thing about stable time loops. It's like trying to find the starting point of a moebius strip. Don't think about it too hard.
