Candela

Candela woke to a horrible sound of destruction. "Alice?" Alice squeezed Candela tighter. "Candela. We must hide this very second." They found a suitable house, that had an impressive amount of wall left, escaping to the part which they thought was the most protected. "Alice?" "It sounds like a dragon of some sorts, but a dragon would not be such a fool as to come here." Candela sought protection from her sister. "Do not worry. I shall never let anything happen to you, my love." The fog hid them from sight, which was perfect, given the current situation.

I want to be nudged happily by a flying, circular robot!

I just got kissed by a cat! Yay! What a nice little kitty!

At school I remember when we wrote all kinds of poetry and compiled them all in a scrapbook of sorts. Last year, to be exact.

I think @Starbound is my favorite, but I adore @SCS.

I always wished there was a universal language, so if there was a greeting then it would be "Hello" in my imaginary universal language.

Amazing! As a painter, I do not shade very often, even though I wish I knew how!

I would love to visit England, Spain, Portugal, Qatar, The United Arab Emirates, India and Pakistan, China, Mount Everest, and Iceland!

I do love winter, but here in Canada... Oh, you can not believe the amounts of snow and cold we had! And I do think all you nice citizens of America had a winter just as bad. Spring has had a bit of a bad start with me this year... Starbound is always talking about Minecraft: Pocket Edition and how the new update is coming very soon. To put it bluntly, it has become a little annoying....

Candela had fallen asleep in Alice's arms, much to her embarrassment. But Alice loved holding her sister this way. It reminded her of old times. Times when she could come home to her baby sister and fondle her all day long. "Thank you, for bringing me my beloved little sister." She whispered to the stars. Alice had not realized how dirty Candela's mane was. She picked out a leaf. "Sleep well, dear sister. For soon we shall find River Side and Daisy. You must rest." Alice nuzzled Candela and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Candela was curled into a ball, making it easy for Alice to keep her warm. Candela did the same for Alice; her body radiated warmth. Alice was only slightly tired, she had not had much other to do other then sleep.

Starbound does this all the time!

I do find this very, very useful! As an artist, I do know about this, but I think many, many others could find this vastly useful!

The fog of ice glimmered with a soft green light. It would have been beautiful, but Candela's eyes were blurred with tears. "Alice? Alice?" She called out, stumbling over pieces of debris. She was completely focused on her task. The outside world did not exist anymore. It was just Candela and Alice. It was just her and the mare she wanted more than anything else in this universe to be with. Alice did not hear the cries. She did not see the light. Alice was somewhere else, far away. She sat on the coast, looking out onto the ocean. She was praying for her family. For Butterscotch and his mother. For Equestria. All around her were the voices of the long dead. The ambient whispers of the world. They told her such wonderful tales of paradise. She had grown accustomed to this whispering, as it came with her ability. They were the voices of thousands of years ago. <Alice... come join us, Alice. We will show you such a wonderful world.> As Candela became closer. She was aware of another sound. A sound much like a crying filly, calling for her mother. She looked to the left of her and saw a faint green light. It shifted and churned, like a spirit coming to take her. It was rather mundane; the green light stood in one place. But then, somepony emerged from the fog. It was Candela. Her little sister. Her beloved little sister. "C- Candela?" Alice choked. Time froze. The world stopped. Candela stopped shimmering. Her knees felt weak. "A- Alice?" She choked back. Candela broke into tears. Alice held out her arms, and Candela ran into Alice's embrace. "Oh, Candela. My beloved little sister. Thank the stars you are alright."

"Ancient... languages?" Candela rushed to Winter Willow and Melody, and wrapped her hooves around them both. "Thank you so much for finding Alice!" Candela searched the town, looking for signs of life. "Alice?" She called out. Tears of joy and relief streaked down Candela's cheeks, and as she lifted debris using magic, not only her horn, but her whole body shimmered with green light.

Candela looked up at the moon. The stars seemed brighter then ever. The little dots of light looked so... cheerful. As if they had not a care in the world. Even things like the darkest of nights helped you see the stars. "Lights are brighter when everything else is dark." And the stars nodded their consent, and the moon smiled down at her. --------------------------------- Alice rose from the debris like a kraken rising from the ocean. "Oh, my!" The remnants of dwellings were reduced to a pile of charred rubble before her. What poor souls could have been trapped in the rubble? Alice sat down, deep in thought. She only remembered pieces of what happened before. "Miss Alice, what's happening?" "Do not worry, Butterscotch. We will get you to your mother, then everything will be fine." "Are you sure?" "I promise. Now hurry!" "Butterscotch, my son! Thank you for bringing him to me, Alice! Alice? Alice!" Now, now they were gone. Butterscotch had been the liveliest colt she had ever met and his mother was a wonderful mare. She looked into the rose quartz Candela, River Side and Daisy gave her when they were foals. "For being the bestest big sister ever!" "Not bestest, best, Candela. And thank you all so much!" She hugged the quartz and cried. "Candela, River Side, Daisy. Please be alright. Alice is coming. Big sister is coming home." She looked up at the stars. "Please. Take care of my little siblings. Please." Holding the gem close to her heart, she cried. She cried bitter tears, and all the while looked out at the serene, peaceful ocean, and once again at the stars. One was particularly bright. It filled her with hope. Maybe, she thought, her family was looking at the very same star, a world away.

Candela slumped to the ground and held her face in her hooves."But it is not just River Side! Alice and Daisy, Mother and Father... I will never return home again! To my family, my library, my memories!" It was not like Candela to be so pessimistic. But feelings defeated her upstart and cheerful character. "And after all of this is fixed, how will Equestria ever be normal again? How will we ever be able to return to our old lives?" Candela indicated Winter Willow and Melody. "At least you have your daughters, Princess Luna. I have nopony left."
