  1. It's rather annoying how quite a few folks seem upset or annoyed that Pinkie Pie could be imagined as fat, as though it's OMGnotcuteandtotallyweird! And of course the best way to combat that is make fat/food jokes. Nice guys. I like these renditions, although my own interpretations vary slightly. If I had to choose one preference to alter on yours it would be changing the heights on Pinkie and Dash. I can't help but image Dash as a lot like AJ, and Pinkie as the shortest as she's the youngest, plus with all her jumping around and on top of everyone it seems it would be easier if she were petite (is that canon? I'm not sure, I do know she's a year younger than Fluttershy but maybe that's once again my own interpretation of her speaking).
  2. I actually think this is very different from Putting Your Hoof Down, and in the best possible way as I wasn't all too happy with that episode. Being a doormat is VERY different from having poor self esteem. Sometimes they coincide, but they can mean very different things. I know some people who have fantastic self esteem, but are so wrapped up in helping others they often remain quiet and let themselves 'become a doormat' when they need to be more assertive. Yet this episode was addressing a different issue entirely, and one I think that reaches out on many different levels to all viewers since being bullied is sadly becoming such a common occurrence. Learning to be happy and confident in who you are doesn't necessarily mean one has be assertive (though it helps), rather it means finding your inner peace. So I personally do feel Fluttershy has learned two completely different lessons in this episode from the last. That aside, I do admit to a personal sadness of not seeing a bit more development with the other pegasus as my own inner fangirl had so hoped, but I suppose that's to be expected with pretty much all background ponies.
  3. Difficult to say. I notice that my favorite ponies usually tend to be unicorns (I'm thinking back on who all my favorites were in G1 and even now my favorite amongst the mane 6 is Rarity), yet aesthetically I prefer pegasus and the interesting possibilities they possess. And despite all that I still have a deep-rooted fondness for the simpler earth pony as they're utterly classic in design and being.
  4. I haven't read the books, but after watching the film yesterday I'm fairly sure I never will. The entire film felt slow, underdeveloped plot points galore and not a single character (minus one of the other boys who was forced into the game and died near the end) was at all likeable in the slightest. I almost checked my phone halfway through the movie just to see if it was almost done. Then again, I did notice most of the audience were preteens or very young teens and I just honestly wonder if the books/movies just aren't aimed for a young adult audience. I do admit, there were 2 scenes in the movie of killings that did disturb me greatly, and to me if feels as though the author wanted to think of the most gruesome ways to shock her readers and loosely strung them all together and something that vaguely resembles a plot.
  5. Finally! Popped by yet another McDonald's today as it was right across the parking lot from the deli I was picking lunch up from, asked the lady if they had any pony toys left and if she could show me which ones. She grabs only one and holds it up for me. How lucky am I that of all 8 ponies the single one they have just happens to be Rainbow Dash, the only one I needed to complete my collection! I be very happy with this
  6. I'm so jealous of all who get to watch during its actual airing! Gotta wait till I can find it uploaded on youtube afterward since I don't get the right channel.
  7. 8/10. Instantly makes me think of a pegasus, as I'm sure was its intention
  8. Yay, my first MLP post to my blog <3

  9. Nah. But then, I realize when it comes to hobbies me and my friends really don't have a lot in common anyway. They're aware of my other 'odd' hobbies such as dolls or dressing up but since it's not their thing I don't try to impose it on them. Same with the ponies. I have a feeling they already view me as childish as it is, so while I wouldn't hide my love of MLP from them, I wouldn't go out of my way to get them to watch it either. The only person who I AM trying to get to watch it with me is my older sister, who already lets me ramble on about ponies for way too long as it is. Sadly, we don't have tv and she says the only way she'll watch it with me is if we could livestream it from Netflix. Hmph.
  10. Hello and welcome! Rarity's one of my top favs too and yay for another female fan!
  11. I don't see why people think Silver Spoon would like food so much, a silver spoon really has nothing to do with eating.
  12. I don't believe their less than pleasant personalities really have anything to do with their cutie marks. Maybe they aren't the sweetest fillies, but I think it's unfair to assume they'll never grow out of it. They're rich and with that comes the stereotype of their being spoiled, which probably is the case here and explains why they're so self centered. But they're young and making the same mistakes as their peers, such as Apple Bloom being embarrassed of her granny. But just as Apple Bloom outgrew that and matured so too most likely will Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara.
  13. I figure Diamond Tiara's probably has something to do with managing her money well, due to her father's business. She'll probably wind up a very powerful and influential pony when it comes to the economy and likely elevated to a "royal" status because of this. I haven't given much thought about Silver Spoon however.
  14. I like you because you've helped keep this thread alive.
  15. Course not! Only a mini creeper
  16. Just completed my first ever piece of pony fanart <3 Here's hoping I don't ruin it with the coloring.

  17. Yup! Haha, sorry if for a second there I sounded like a total creeper xD
  18. Hi! Welcome I'm still pretty new on these forums too, I just get so excited when I see another girl posting!
  19. Serene Belle. Eh, doesn't have the nicest ring to it, but Belle certainly makes me smile <3
  20. While walking through Japantown a girl noticed my McD's Fluttershy clipped to my purse and instantly came over and complimented me on it and asked where I had found it. I was taken aback at first because I had forgotten I had even left Fluttershy there, plus I felt like a complete dunce since I've never been very good at talking with strangers. She was super nice though (actually said she was visiting from Texas, I'm in California), and I'm still kicking myself for not asking for her username or some type of contact information. It's not like I make friends so easily and I feel like I missed my one chance
  21. When it comes to large, farm animals like that, sure, I'd totally be willing to give it a shot. I'm sad I've yet to try goats milk. I like both soy and almond milk and wanting to try rice milk next, so I say bring it on. But I'm kind of a freak for milk so I dunno how that affects my judgement.
  22. Still no RD for me...beginning to think my collection won't ever be complete. My sister says she's sure I can just find one on eBay, but it just wouldn't be the same
  23. I think people like to ship Big Mac for the same reason they like to ship or write about any pony that's only had 2 seconds of screen time, like Vinyl Scratch or Lyra or Braeburn. It's fun to find a character, look into every element of their screen time and deduce your own reasoning as to who that pony is, what their life is like and how they fit into rest of society. I personally love to ship Big Mac with Rarity, and just as anyone who likes to ship him with Fluttershy, I've created a pretty good reasoning for this in my head other than the fact that they "look" cute together. I think if you really want to understand these reasonings you have to read more fanfiction, where these side characters are much more developed by the author, since a simple one liner explanation isn't really going to be very satisfying as you'll still have a flat representation of the character in your head.
  24. Debating if I'm ready to finally pay $400+ on a dress purely because I love the pegasus' printed on it...I may just be.
