  1. Are you sure this article is condemning bronies? Maybe it's saying that all British people like bestiality. Or is it all veterinarians? I see he was identified by a tattoo, maybe that's the cause... a pretty broad conclusion to draw on an entire fandom based on a shirt
  2. I'm a big believe in freedom and equality. ie you are free to do whatever you want so long as you don't infringe on the freedom of others. I can't imagine trying to force another culture to give up their beliefs or ideals unless they were aggressive or destructive. Like the aliens from Independence Day are basically locusts and consume everything. Not exactly compatible, but that's not so much culture as it is an attack on people.
  3. The numbers are for the quests that are listed in each place. Although there are some that glitch and crossover :/ Best place for loyalty shards are stores that take longer. I'm not sure that there's a guarantee on any of them though.
  4. My favorite cat breed is Amercian Shorthair, ether calico or tortoiseshell. That being said, I've never picked a cat based on breed. And I've had at least a dozen so far. Personality is more more important than breed. The best attitude, or at least the most, goes to Smokey. He was a medium hair with a black coat and a white tummy. He liked to go into the neighbor's house and terrorize their golden retrievers. Second goes to Velcro, a tabby short hair. She LOVES being petted, but hates being held. Silly kitty... Also has a habit of 'love noms.' Which goes a little like this: "thankyouthankyouthankyou*nom*... Why'd you stop petting me? ...thankyouthankyouthankyou." My favorite was a tortie named Serena. She was the sweetest cat ever, and a ninja. Seriously, she could get in or out of anywhere. I even had the house I was living in inspected for damage because she was so good at escaping. They found nothing. Me: "Where's Serena? Oh there she is, outside again. Guess I'd better let her in..." *goes to door, no kitty* "Guess she didn't want in..." Serena: *appear* *meow?* Me: "wtf? How'd you get in here?" Only pic I have is of Velcro
  5. I've got a slideshow for mine now, but I love when this one pops up: this file:
  6. NEVER!! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME! ... ... ... here's a gif instead
  7. Yay, 100 pages! nealry at the 2000 post mark too
  8. I'm pretty sure it was Pinkie, but maybe it was simpler...
  9. I picked up a copy of Shadowrun Returns off GoG.com. They do a really good job with older games.
  10. Lesson Zero, about 19:15 Nope, she doesn't say anything to anyone behind her screencap
  11. I don't actually expect anything in response But giving them evidence that their system is broken just feels good
  12. PETA is one of those organizations that has a good message, like don't torture animals, but ends up doing harm to their cause by their approach.
  13. Yeah, I think i'd had problems eating a Dashie cake. I'd much prefer a Dashie themed cake. Or maybe a drink? But, eating this cute lil' Dashie would be traumatic
  14. lol, what are those things? Let's call them Dashie cakes!
  15. Ahh Torment... that is a pretty damn good game ... Oh look, its available on Good Old Games FF6, and 7, I also rather enjoyed Earthbound.
  16. Beyond having to learn a second system if we want to interact with other parts of the world. For someone who never leaves the states or does anything beyond simple measurements, that's fine I guess. But it still doesn't address why we don't transition? I don't think most people here (if any) want to force an immediate change on the whole society. A gradual change, starting with a requirement to learn both systems for all new students (we almost do that already). @Blue posted this earlier and suggested a 40 years time frame:
  17. Maybe chronological order: Pythagoras, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle
  18. So many excellent choices, so rather than pick a favorite I'll add to the list Yasunori Mitsuda of Chrono Cross / Trigger
  19. I found this randomly WARNING: Death by d'awwwwww!
  20. Exactly, so why not use the simpler system? Why teach Imperial if it's only useful because some people already know it? Some people already know metrics, and it's easier to handle.
  21. I see a lot of BMI readings here. I'd suggest a body fat % test (or body composition). BMI is only a partial picture. Some places are starting to add that test to their blood pressure machines. My electronic scale that I've had for like a decade now (wow, really?) has a body composition test on it. Depending on your athleticism, you could potentially have a pretty low fat% and still be healthy Women // Men Essential fat 10-12% // 2-4% Athletes 14-20% // 6-13% Fitness 21-24% // 14-17% Acceptable 25-31% // 18-25% Obese 32% plus // 26% plus pulled from WebMD: http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/body-fat-measurement?page=2
  22. OM NOM NOM NOM Muffins! d'awww, she has a cookie
