    You gonna bring up Maurice and all that he's done and not mention Father from KND? SMDH Either way, yeah this is hype. Well they also have Rachel Bloom coming this season, and the movie had a lot of big name actors.

    Many characters have returned, actually. Not all of them, but not a low amount either, Ember, Thorax, Iron Will, Sassy Saddles, Coco, Photo Finish, Sapphire Shores, Cranky and Matilda, Gilda, Trixie, Garble, Daring Do, etc. A lot of these characters people thought would be one offs yet returned later.

I am very excited for the season, more than I have been in a while, people need to stop pulling the "feels like white mans burden, diversity pushing, left leaning" card when complaining about the school, we literally have absolutely no idea how it will turn out, it fits their character arc to expand the magic of friendship to the world beyond Equestria. I also don't get why people think the school will somehow only ever be about teaching in class, at least it feels like that is what people are expecting. The new characters will have adventures and experiences as well with the mane 6 guiding them, I hate the idea of being so negative about something when so little is actually known about it, much like season 8 and G5.

    What? What do you expect every few episodes to see the return of Ember? All the side characters in MLP barring a few exceptions have been developed and had their own arc, usually in an episode belonging to them, you can't say whether or not it's a bad habit. MLP isn't about ponyville, it's about Equestria and now the world, so it makes sense to have so many new characters by the season, to give a sense of populace to the universe.

    It's already considered by many people as one of the best cartoons of all time. I don't think it is held back but it could be better if it wasn't meant to sell toys.

    In Made in Manehattan we see Rarity buy Applejack a random hat and AJ is happy with it, so that would imply no, but I doubt AJ or Bright mac had one hat and I could see Applejack having her dads collection.

    Infinity War, a cosmic level villain comes to kill harmony and love for good, to destroy all that is happy and peaceful, the mane 6 won't be enough to stop him, it will take every major hero to band together to defeat the new threat, from the royal sisters, to the pillars of Equestria, to even Daring Do and Throax, Pharynx, Ember, etc. It would end with Twilight and her friends alone vanquishing the foe and Twilight being crowned the new ruler of Equestria, and her friends being sort of major members of the rulership, like a counsel. But that part is not needed as it would imply something bad happens to the sisters.

    Eh, I think a flowing Mane is a unique type of manifestation of magic that isn't directly related to power, otherwise Starswirl would have a flowing mane as well. I think it is just an external form of their magic, making their mane flow in a mystical fashion, it's odd but it is all I can think of.

    Every season I have this feeling that I won't be as excited for it when it comes around, that feeling always goes away in the last days leading up to the premiere. Season 8 is the first season I haven't gotten that, I am beyond excited, perhaps the most I have been for a MLP season since s4. The movie, Shadow Play, and Forgotten Friendship really overfueled my MLP hype train

    Well, based on the ending of Shadow Play, they went their separate ways, Starswirl wants to travel the realm to see what has changed, and the others wish to find their homes and see what has changed as well, Stygian I imagine will either accompany Starswirl or find somewhere to live himself, to study on all that has happened in the past 1000+ years. (Side note: I would love if MLP could produce a side series featuring Starswirl and his new apprentice Stygian as they wander Equestria together, so many adventures!) WARNING, WARNING, SEASON 8 FINALE SPOILERS BELOW

    Well that has been a question we have all had in some way, but a new Hasbro short, titled FUNdementals of Magic pretty much answers this for us. Celestia says that magic manifests in many different ways, such as a continuously flowing mane. So there you go, Mistmane has a flowing mane because it is just a way her powerful magic manifests itself.

    The show staff don't really want to give the mane 6 boyfriends because a lot of episodes would have to have said boyfriends in them. I personally don't want romance to be a topic for any of the mane 6 aside from the occasional Rarity crush.

    Well, it wasn't just Celestia, it was the ponies ignoring her and loving Celestia as well, and Luna in turn took that anger out on her sister (and would have taken it out on her subjects once she came to power)
